————Nya's POV———

"Ow!" I squeal as I hit the ground. "Now I know how y/n feels."

"Yeah," Jay groans. "Falling out of the sky hurts a whole damn lot."

"I thought you knew how to use that thing, Zane!" Kai accuses as he stands up.

Zane shrugs. "I have never used a time blade before."

"Not important," Cole interrupts. "Does anyone know where we are?"

"It appears we are on a mountain," Zane says.

"Thank you, captain obvious, that's very helpful," Jay says sarcastically.

"You're welcome," Zane replies in a monotone voice.

"I'm starting to think that he's reverting back to his original programming," I mutter. "He seems to have lost all his ability to interpret sarcasm."

"Once again, not important!" Cole exclaims. "Now look up there; it's the monastery."

"Oh, cool!" Jay says. "It's like a blast from the past, haha."

"Come on," I urge. "Maybe we can find out what time we landed in if we see what's happening there."

"Good idea, sis," Kai says, and we all march up to the gates.

Zane knocks on the doors once we get there.

"What the hell are you doing?!" Cole shouts. "Our past selves can't see us here!"

Zane stares at him blankly. "Does not compute."

"Great going, Cole!"  Jay exclaims. "You broke Zane!"

"It isn't my fault the tiny robot isn't working properly!"

"Guys!" I interrupt. "They're going to hear us."

"Too late," Kai says as the door opens. Another version of Cole steps out.

"What the..." other Cole wonders. "Who are you?"

"Damn it! We screwed it up!" Jay cries.

"Y/n is going to kill us," Kai mutters.

"Hello, fellow ninja," Zane says to younger Cole. "May we come inside?"

"I thought we weren't supposed to interact with our past selves," Cole says.

"Well, it's too late now," I answer in a huff, and head into the monastery.

"What's going on?" Past Cole asks.

"Long story short, we've come back in time to stop Garmadon from changing the future," his look-alike replies.

"In case you can't tell, we're not very good at this," Jay explains. "Do you think you can help us come up with a plan?"

"Cole? What's going on?" Past Zane asks as he walks out into the monastery's courtyard.

"Our future selves are here," past Cole answers. "There's also a red ninja and a girl."

"Red ninja?" I wonder. "Don't you mean Kai?"

"Who's Kai?"

Kai stares blankly at them. "You don't know who I am?"

"Garmadon," Jay mutters. "He somehow altered the past so that you don't become a part of the team."

"Why would he do that?" Kai asks.

Jay shrugs. "I don't know. I just remember y/n talking about it."

"Wow, you were actually paying attention," Cole muses. "That's a first."

I insert myself between the two boys before they can kill each other. "Sometimes I wonder if you guys are really suited to save the world."

"Oof!" Someone exclaims. We all turn around to see what just happened.

"Y/n?" Cole asks. "What are you... how did you get here?"

Y/n gets up off the ground and looks around. "Um... I'm not exactly sure."

"Hey, where's Zane?" Kai wonders.

"That's funny," y/n says. "I thought I just saw him a second ago—ohhhhhhhhh wait a minute..."

Suddenly, something comes crashing down on top of y/n causing the poor kid to yelp in surprise.

"What the heck, Zane!" Y/n cries. "You really need to learn how to control that thing!"

——————y/n's POV————-

I wave my arms frantically, waiting for Zane to get off me. He finally realizes that he's sitting on my head, and helps me off the ground.

"Okay, now I'm really confused," Nya says.

"Long story short, Zane the tiny popsicle used the time blade to come and get me here," I explain. "Apparently you don't have any idea what to do."

"Nope," Jay admits. I do a double take because the Jay I'm staring at is not the one who just spoke.

I smack my forehead with my palm. "Did you guys seriously let yourselves be seen by your past selves?"

I take the silence as as yes.

"Why is my future self younger than me?" Zane from the past asks.

"That, my friend, is beyond explanation," Kai from the future answers.

"Okay... listen up," I start. "I'm going to pretend I'm not taking to a bunch of idiots right now, and hopefully you'll understand this on the first try: We have to destroy the megaweapon."

"A mega-what-now?" Cole asks. I turn to him, confused, but then I realize the ninja I'm staring at is one from the past.

I groan. I'm going to have a hard time explaining this, aren't I?
