The True Green Ninja

Twelve

Nya's POV

"Where is all this sand coming from?" Cole asks.

"The city of Ouroboros is turning back to before it was rediscovered!" Zane says, half buried by the sand.

"We have to jump into that portal!" Kai says. "If we don't, Garmadon will alter something in the past, changing the future!"

"Let's go!" Jay yells, hopping into the portal. Kai and Cole follow, and I'm about to join them before I hear a muffled cry.

I look around for Zane, but I can't find him. I then see his hands waving frantically above the sand, so I grab them and pull the rest of his body out. Once he's free, I throw him into the portal and jump in after him.

————-y/n's POV———-

I sit nervously in the control room, wondering what's going to happen. I know that Garmadon used his mega weapon to go back in time, but I don't know if he still thinks Lloyd is the green ninja or not.

"What's wrong, y/n?" Lloyd asks as he comes into the room. ""You look worried."

"It's nothing," I tell him.

"You sure? If you need to talk, I'm here—" Lloyd stops talking and looks at his hands.

"Lloyd?" I ask. "Are you okay?"

"I... I can't feel my hands," he says. Suddenly, he wavers, and falls unconscious.

"Lloyd!" I cry, catching him. I pick him up—he's surprisingly light—and carry him to the couch.

————-Nya's POV————

"Look, it's Sensei!" Jay says, pointing at the old man walking down the road to Four Weapons.

"Maybe he can help us!" Kai exclaims.

"Wait!" Zane cries, but he's too late. The other ninja all run towards Sensei, leaving me and Zane behind.

"They can't talk to him, or they'll change too much!" Zane says, and shoots a blast of ice at his teammates. The blast bypasses them and creates a wall of ice in front of the ninja, stopping them from going any further.

"We can't show ourselves to Sensei; it will mess up the time line," Zane says.

"But he always knows what to do!" Jay protests. "he's got the long white beard!"

"Put a can in it, Jay!" I exclaim. "Zane's right."

I look away from Jay for a second, and when I look back, he's resisting against Zane who's trying to put a crumpled up pop can in his mouth.

"Zane! What are you doing?" Cole demands as he helps wrestle the nindroid off of Jay.

"Nya said 'put a can in it!'"

"Yeah, but not literally!"

"Oops. My bad."

I groan and facepalm. I'm getting pretty sick and tired of these boys.

Suddenly, a bunch of skeleton trucks appear out of nowhere, and charge towards the village.

"Holy cr*p!" Kai shouts. "That escalated quickly."

"The village!" I realize. "We have to help them!"

"No, sis!" Kai stops me. "We can't interfere. Besides, us from the past have it all under control."

I look over at younger Kai, who's swinging a sword around aimlessly to fend off the skeletons. I raise an eyebrow. I don't think he's handling the situation very well.

————-y/n's POV———

"Come on, Lloyd," I mutter, shaking him. "Wake up!"

He doesn't budge.

"Please don't die!" I say. When he doesn't respond, I sit down beside him on the couch. "This is all my fault."

I burry my head in my hands, worried about Lloyd. I know that the ninja went back in time to stop Garmadon, but they don't know what's at stake. What if they screw up, and Lloyd doesn't make it?

Suddenly, Lloyd shudders, and slips off the couch and onto the ground. I fall to my knees beside him, trying to figure out what's wrong. Then, out of now where, a portal appears.

"Gah!" I screech as the ninja appear. "What are you doing here?!?"

"Garmadon found us and sent us back with his megaweapon," Cole explains, scratching the back of his neck nervously. "But I think we set everything back on track!"

"No, you didn't!" I cry, then gesture to Lloyd, who's still unconscious on the floor. "What does it look like?!"

"W-what happened?" Nya asks, coming to the boy's side.

"I don't know! It doesn't even make sense!" I say. "I should never have come to Ninjago. What was I thinking? I'm a writer in training! I shouldn't be messing around with stories!"

"Hey, it's okay," Kai says, putting a hand on my shoulder. "It's all gonna work out."

"You have to get back to the past," I say. "Otherwise, who knows what will happen to Lloyd."
