------------Nya's POV----------

I watch as Morro fights using my power and his own, but I'm starting to worry. The overlord's getting too strong. I keep trying to convince Morro to let me take over, but he won't budge. I finally stop bugging him, and decide to help him instead.

I summon every bit of power I have within me to make it easier for Morro to access. I may not like this guy, but he's still technically on our side. I let him use every power I have, and he uses them all to their fullest capabilities, but it still doesn't help us gain leverage.

We need y/n, I tell him. An elemental master of light may help outshine the darkness.

Master? Don't make me laugh. That kid can barely wield a sword.

If you want to see the overlord defeated, give me my body back and go find y/n!

Why should I listen to you?

If you don't do as I say, Ninjago will be destroyed. Is that what you want?

Morro grumbles under his breath, but he actually releases his hold on me.

"He listened!" I gasp.

"Nya!" Jay cries, recognizing my voice. "What happened? Where's Morro?"

"He went to go find y/n," I explain.

Now that I have full control of myself, my elemental powers become stronger than they were when Morro was using them. A little while later, the overlord's starting to look a little tired.

"I found y/n," Morro says.

I turn my head to see y/n standing beside me, but it's obvious the kid's being possessed by that delusional ghost.

"Morro! I told you to find y/n, not take possession of h—"

"Like I said, y/n isn't a strong fighter. It's better if I'm in control."

I'm too tired to argue. I want to slap Morro for putting y/n through this, but that will have to wait.

------Kai's POV--------

"We need to do something!" I shout at the others.

"Yeah, but what?" Cole asks.

"I don't know!"

"Well, that's helpful."

"Stop it!" Zane interjects. "Arguing won't solve anything!"

90%, something says.

"What was that?" Cole asks.

"The ultimate weapon is almost ready to fire," Misako says. "We have to shut it down!"

"Come on, then," I say, and head for the giant vehicle.

I dodge all the warriors defending it, and make it to the top. Once I get there, however, I realize I have no idea how to stop it from shooting.

"Zane, get up here!" I call. "I know nothing about mechanics!"

Zane joins me as soon as he can, and starts looking at all the dials and buttons on the control system.

"It doesn't have an off switch," he says, a bit of panic in his voice. "Our only chance is to redirect it."

"To where?" Cole asks from below the weapon.

Without thinking twice, I place my hands on the steering wheel and press on the gas pedal. I turn the entire vehicle around, so that it's facing the rest of the army.

"Are you sure that's a good idea?" Cole yells. "It might make things worse!"

"Cole is correct," Zane says. "The ultimate weapon is loaded with dark matter. If we hit the stone warriors, we may end up making the army even more dangerous."

"Okay, then what else are we supposed to do?"

"I've got an idea," Cole says.

He stabs his elemental blade into the sand, which causes a ripple effect on the ground. The wave ends just beneath the vehicle, but it props it up so it's front wheels are higher than its back ones.

"What's that supposed to do?" I ask.

"Now the cannon will fire beyond the army instead of straight for it," Cole explains.

Weapon ready, the voice from the control panel says. Launching in 5... 4...

Zane and I hop off the vehicle, and Cole meets us on the other side.

...3... 2...

We cover our ears and hope that our plan works.

...1

The cannon blasts a sphere of dark matter towards the other side of the island. Zane, Cole and I high five each other, glad that our plan is successful. The weapon continues to fire, but none of the blasts hit any of us or the army.

"It worked!" I cheer. "Now, let's go take care of these stone warriors."
