Chara
Chara wiped sweat off Sans's face. She had always wondered how a skeleton could sweat but she knew it was definitely because of the magic. Besides, there were much more perplexing things Underground that Chara couldn't even be bothered to focus on wondering anymore.
"Are you okay, Sansy?" Chara asked as she crouched beside him. She and Papyrus had practically dragged the short skeleton to the couch. He had been so worked up that he had refused to rest, but Chara knew after a fight like that it was for his own good to lie down.
"I'm okay because you're okay." Sans said with a smile. "I'm glad Molly saw sense and left you alone. See? Everyone can be good if they try!" His voice was bright with enthusiasm.
I don't think she spared me out of the kindness of her heart. Chara thought a bit sadly, but she didn't want to say that out loud to her adorable partner. There was no need to dampen his spirit. But she still wished Molly could've changed her mind about how she felt about Chara. It kind of hurt her that monsters could hate her so much just for being a human. With a pang she realized that must be how monsters had felt when they were driven underground.
"Are you okay?" Sans asked, frowning a bit at he stared at her.
"Yes." Chara pulled his bony frame close to her in a hug. "As long as you're alright I'm fine!"
Sans
Sans wasn't sore for too long after the battle. Far from. But Chara and Papyrus refused to let him do anything throughout the entire day.
I'm perfectly capable of doing anything! Sans thought indignantly as he sat on the couch with Papyrus while Chara made supper that evening. I don't understand why I have to sit here all day like a child!
Chara soon came into the living room with some grilled cheese sandwiches. She had a wide smile on her face as she set the plate of sand when down onto the living room table. She then squeezed to sit between Sans and Papyrus. "Dinner is ready!" She said cheerily.
Papyrus lazily reached over and plucked a sandwich from the table, chewing it in a way that was agonizingly slow to Sans. Papyrus had spent the entire day on the couch with Sans. He'd mostly been asleep, though, which was to be expected from the taller skeleton.
Sans ate his own sandwiches. When they were all done he stood up and stretched. Well, kind of. Being a skeleton, after all, he had no muscles to stretch. It was actually a habit from training with Alphys and spending time with Chara.
"I'm going to clean my room." Sans announced. With a glare at Chara and Papyrus, he added, "Because you guys won't let me leave the house or do anything else." Then he whisked up the stairs and into his room, where he started to tidy up around Chara's bed so that it would be more comfortable for her.
Chara
Chara joined Sans after saying goodnight to Papyrus, who had decided to head to bed early. She was delighted to see that Sans had made her bed a much more comfortable place to sleep on.
"Hi!" Sans said cheerfully as he saw Chara step into the room. He was wearing his light blue onesie that he wore over his skeletal frame to sleep, and he looked extremely happy to see Chara. He also didn't seem to be bitter about having to do nothing all day, which Chara was grateful for.
"Thanks for making my bed!" Chara exclaimed, running over to embrace Sans.
"No problem!" Sans said, burying his skull into her chest. Chara thought she could see him blushing but it was hard to tell at that angle.
"I love you." Chara murmured, holding his skull against her chest. She didn't want to ever let him go.
"I love you too!" Sans said, breaking away from her with a rather childish squeal of delight.

Sans turned out the light and the two lay in their separate beds and talked for a long, long time. Chara wasn't tired at all. She could tell that Sans wasn't either. They talked about various topics, such as cooking tacos, the fight with Molly, and some funny things Alphys told Sans during training.
Then Chara ended up climbing up to cuddle with Sans. She suddenly felt a fierce tug of relief that made her sob as she hugged him.
Sans
Sans cradled Chara against his rib cage, feeling startled. He couldn't see her but he could hear her sobbing and feel her tears soak through his shirt onto his ribs.
"Chara?" He asked anxiously. "What's wrong?" Worry gripped at his soul fiercely as he kept her against him.
"I..." Chara hiccuped and let out a shuddering breath before talking. "I'm so glad you're right here, and that I can be in your arms! I was so worried before when Molly came and attacked..."
Sans gently caressed what he could tell was Chara's face with one of his bony hands. "You don't need to fear. The Magnificent Sans will always be able to defend you and anyone else from harm!" He nuzzled her head with his cheekbone. Then another thought made him pause, and he thought he knew away to make his human feel better.
"Hey Chara?" He asked softly.
He felt her stir as she turned her face in his direction. "Yes?" She asked breathlessly.
"Are you tired?" He asked, hoping she wasn't.
"Not at all." Chara said. "Actually I'm the exact opposite!"
"That's great!" Sans exclaimed cheerfully. "Because I have something to ask of you!"
"What is it?" Chara asked.
"I...I was wondering if we could do that intimate human stuff together!" Sans blurted. "You know...kinda like when we did the kind we do here as monsters? I-I wanna see what humans do!"
There was a pause, then Chara spoke. "Of course!"
