Chara

Chara smiled as she helped Sans picked out food for the picnic they would have out in the woods. Papyrus was still asleep but she and Sans had woken up early to prepare for their date, which they would have around noon or so. She was excited because she realized they didn't often go out alone together where no one else could find them very often.

"Does this taco look good?" Sans asked, showing her a taco he had prepared for her to eat. He looked both proud and shy at the same time, clearly wanting her approval.

She smiled at him, folding his bony fingers around the taco and kissing them as she did so. "All your tacos are amazing, Sansy." She told him honestly. She giggled as he watched his cheekbones turn from white to bright blue. He was clearly more than flattered by her compliment.

"What should we do before we go out?" She asked him as she prepared her own food for the picnic. She had made fresh banana bread and wanted to take it along as well, though she doubted either of them would be able to eat all of the food they were bringing along.

"Why don't we have a race in the backyard?" Sans suggested cheerfully. He bounced up and down. "Winner gets to kiss the other person on the lips!"

"Uh...Sans," Chara began, amused. "The loser doesn't lose anything with those rules."

"Exactly!" Sans said, puffing out his armored chest with a huge smile on his face.

Sans

Sans and Chara sat in the backyard holding and kissing each other. He had won the race, naturally, and Chara had seemed rather impressed by it. He knew he would win because he was the Magnificent Sans after all, but he wanted to at least give Chara the chance. He also knew she loved doing pretty much anything with him.

"I think it should be noon by now," Chara said, standing up. She offered her hand to help him up as well and he took it gratefully. "Let's go to the woods for our real date now."

Sans and Chara found a clearing and settled down among the trees. Chara had brought a candle along as well to light up the dark woods. Sans, wanting to be a gentleman, quickly set down the picnic blanket until it was just right and motioned for Chara to sit down. She giggled happily and sat on the blanket, Sans sitting right beside her.

"It's a nice day outside," Chara commented as she opened up the basket, pulling out the food to set it down on the blanket. "Thank you so much for taking me out on a date!"

"Of course!" Sans said, lifting his chin. "The Magnificent Sans is willing to do this with his special one every day if she wants!" He found himself blushing as he said that.

"You're the best," Chara murmured, leaning against him for a brief moment before pulling away. She opened up her sliced banana bread and offered some of it to Sans.

Chara

"This banana bread is extraordinary," Sans gasped as he started wolfing down the bread she had offered him.

Chara blushed and twirled her hair shyly. "Awwe. Thank you!" She giggled. She started eating some of his tacos. "Your tacos are extraordinary as well." She told him.

"I'm glad you like them!" Sans exclaimed, still wolfing down other slices of her bread. "I made them just for you!"

As she watched Sans wolf down his meal, Chara laughed. "Slow down, Sans! You're going to give yourself a tummyache if you continue to eat like that!"

Sans looked at her smugly. "You forget, human, that I am a skeleton. I don't have a tummy that aches." He reached up to ruffle her hair.

Chara smiled and continued to eat her meal, cherishing every moment she had with her warm-hearted and awesome partner.

Chara and Sans lay on the picnic blanket together and stared at the sky. Well, in actuality they just stared at the roof of the Underground. But they had mutually come to a decision to just pretend it was the sky because it made their date all the more romantic. Chara rubbed her full tummy with her hands, knowing she had eaten too much food, but also deciding it had been worth the price of a tummyache.

"I wish Paps could be just as happy as us." Chara murmured as she stared through the trees.

"So do I," Sans agreed. "He would probably be much more awake every day if he had someone as awesome as you! Although there isn't anyone as awesome as you...oh well, I can just find him the second-best girl ever!"

Sans

Cuddling with Chara on the picnic blanket was one of the best things Sans had ever experienced. As they lay together they continued to discuss ways to make Papyrus happy and get him a partner.

"Who should the partner be?" Chara asked him. "I mean, we should choose someone who he talks to all the time...someone who would make his day by asking him out. Does he have anyone who is as close to him as Liz used to be?"

Sans felt sad as he thought about how Papyrus had to kill Liz. Papyrus had once loved the lizard monster...it must have been truly awful for him to have killed her. Sans would never be able to kill anyone, and definitely not be able to even harm Chara in the slightest.

"Napstaton and Muffet are his only friends who he talks to on a regular basis," Sans admitted. "Maybe we should try seeing if Muffet will want to be with him? He goes to her restaurant an awful lot, so I assure you he has some sort of close friendship with her." He blushed happily at the thought of seeing his brother with someone who could fall in love with him. The thought brought joy to his heart.

"Sure thing!" Chara replied happily.
