This takes place in college.

I was surprised when Charlie asked me to go to a party with him. He was so insistent that I'd be his date and I didn't know why. The reason I had hesitation about this was because I used to "bully" him in high school. I use bully loosely because I didn't even know that's what I was doing until the day I made him cry. That's when it set in and ever since then I have felt terrible.

I did apologize and he forgive me. He even became my friend but I still couldn't forgive myself for bullying him to the point of tears and not even knowing.

I ended up agreeing and assured him that I'd be his date. I was surprised at the smile he had when I said yes. He even hugged me.

So now I was standing by the food table in a simple dress that I hardly ever wore. I was just standing in a corner sipping at my drink when Charlie walks over and extends a hand. "Do you want to dance?" He asks and I hum before shrugging "Sure." I say and take his hand as he lead me to where the music was playing.

I was actually enjoying myself as Charlie and I dance our hearts out. Until the next song came up. It was a song for a slow dance. I went to leave but Charlie surprises me by taking my hand in his while the other held my waist. I hum and place a shy hand on his shoulder. I stare at him and he looks at me with a smile as we slowly sway to the music.

He looks up at me with a soft look in his eyes and I blush. I didn't even realize that I was leaning in but when I did I pull back immediately. I couldn't kiss him. I just couldn't find it in myself to. I glance at him to see him with a small frown before he smiles again. He probably saw me leaning in to kiss him. He's probably weirded out now.

I pull away from him and he hums. I back up and shook my head with a sigh before I ran out of the dorm. I slow down to a walk when I near an elevator and lean up against a wall to calm down. I sigh and press the button to call the elevator. I hug myself with a heavy sigh before I heard footsteps so I look up to see Charlie. "Hey." I say softly and he hums "Hey. You okay y/n?" He asks as he walks over to me.

"I..I just wasn't feeling well." I say and he hums as he leans against the wall with me He looks at me with a raised eyebrow and I glance away with a hum. The elevator arrived and we walk in. The doors close and I press the button for our floor. "...I'm sorry for running off...and for almost...k-kissing you." I say and he hums "well as far as running off it's okay but why are apologizing for trying to-" "because I shouldn't have done that. I mean you would never like me like that so I don't know why I leaned in." I say and he lifts my head to look at him.

"Why would you think I don't like you in that way?" He asks and I stare at him "Because I use to bully you...I made you cry...Why would you love me after what I did to you?" He sighs and smiles softly before kissing my forehead. "Because I'm a forgiving person and that was so long ago. Plus there's a lot to love about you." He says and I blush as he tucks a strand of my hair behind my ear. "So don't seem so shocked at the idea of me loving you because it's the truth."

I blush hard and stare at him with wide eyes. "W-What?" I stutter and he smiles before leaning in "I love you y/n." He says before kissing me. I hum and let my eyes flutter shut before I wrap my arms around his neck. He pulls away and I blush before pulling him in for another kiss. He hums and rests his hands on my hips. This kiss lasted longer and had more passion. We both pull back with a gasp before Charlie kisses me again but this time he slips his tongue into my mouth.

I blush as he backs me up against the elevator wall and I pull away with a hum. I bite my lip as he moves to kiss my neck. "Charlie~ w-wait a minute~" I whine and he hums "right. We shouldn't do this here. Sorry." He says and pulls away to whisper in my ear. "Your dorm or mine?~" he purrs and I shudder "Yours. My roommate is studying." I say and he hums before pulling away.
