Today you left the village. They cheered you on, Mirso was the last to wave goodbye and then, as the gates closed, tapped on his head and pointed to yours. You look foward at the mountains. Jackie looked at you, "So, your highness, what happened when that old dude took you away?" You explained what happened but left out the prophesy, well just avoided telling them one of them would die.
Chase took you aside, "Do you really believe what that old ma-" "Mirso." You interrupted. "Yes him, do you? It just seems too...make-believe? You know?" You look at him, "Seriously? They're my people. I doubt they would lie." He gave you that face that broke your heart. Disappointment. Jackie and Poppy walked up.
"Hey lovebirds!" Poppy said, Chase looked down and you grabbed Poppy quickly. "Not the time. Nor the place." Jackie groaned, "Guys we should start moving." You let go and nodded.
As you started to move, the terrain got rougher. And it got colder. Shivering you grab everyone's hoodies and, resisting the temptation to take them for yourself, you hand them out. Chase took his with silence, Poppy squealed, and Jackie nodded.
Soon you had to stop, it was hard to keep moving when it only got colder each minute. A small cave was found and you bunked down there. Chase made a fire. You caught him staring at you, "Chase? What's in your mind?" You ask. You knew what he was thinking. But hoped he wouldnt bring it up to the group. He smiled sadly, "What if we dont make it? What if only one of us survives?" You look down then at Jackie and Poppy. "Let's not think about that."
Soon Poppy had dozed off on Jackie's lap. Chase and you stayed awake. You groan, your head hurt. "Kill...Die...One of you will survive...or when you reach us...we will kill all in front of you." The darkness had returned to your mind. Mirso's voice was heard in the background. "Dont listen to them. Princess, force them out.
Your eyes clouded, they were too strong. Soon you saw a cliff, a scream came from the edge. You run to the edge and look down. Chase and Poppy were hanging on, slipping slowly. Where was Jackie? As you reach down frantically for both of them, your shoved from behind. As you fall, you see Jackie watching you. Chase screamed out and climbed up the cliff and helped Poppy. The vision ended.
