We were all laughing when the waiter approached the table. When he came to take our order Elliot's face went pale and she looked frantically around the table to me and Jaime. She looked as she would burst into tears any moment. I started panicking.

"Uh," I looked to read his name tag, he looked as shocked as Elliot,

"Um, Tate, can we have like 5 more minutes"

He just blinked, nodded his head, and scurried away to the other tables.

I turned to Elliot she looked like she had seen a ghost.

"Ell, what's wrong"

"Come on Elli tell us, its Ok"

"Do you need to go outside"

"Who was that"

She frantically tried to get up, Jaime gently grabbed her by the hand and pulled her outside. He looked back at me, a  worried look on his face.

When the waiter came back, Mike was the first one to say something.

"Who are you, and what did you do to my neice.?" He said, trying to keep his calm.

"I'm Tate Asher, and Elliot is an orphan, she doesnt have a-"

"Now she does, what did you do to her?" I furiously interjected.

"Oh, I um, Elliot's my, uh girlfriend."

"You don't sound so confident about that, what happened?" Tony spoke up

"Well, the thing is, I uh, kinda cheated on-"

"You did what?" Mike said as all of the 'chill' he had left in him was gone.

"I'm sorry sir, I didn't mean to the first time, after that, I don't know what I was thinking, I loved her,"

"No you didn't we are leaving, come on Mike and Vic let's go" Tony said as he slid out of the booth and 'accidentally' bumped into Tate, me and Mike did the same.

When we got outside Jaime and Elliot each had one ear bud in and the music was blasting, this is what Jaime does when he's sad. When Elliot saw me she ran up to me and pulled me into an unexpected hug. Surprised I hugged her back, the other guys joined in and we stood like this for like 5 minutes when Elliot spoke up,

"Can we go get McDonalds?" In a soft timid voice

Tony whispered "hell yeah," under his breath and we all walked to McDonalds, which was only a few minutes away.
