~ One Year Later ~

"Dale, stop messing with Sherry, she's too young to play Zombies with you yet." I scolded, picking Sherry up off the carpeted floor of the mobile home that Daryl had parked in front of the hospital. Dale rolled his eyes at me and stood up to square off with me.

"Well what should I do then? Cause Eliza's being a brat, and Carl's busy." Dale said, a soft groan coming out of his little six year old mouth.

"What's Carl doing?" I asked as I placed Sherry in the play pen on her back so she could keep trying to roll over as she had been trying to do for the past few days.

"Harvesting the corn. He said he'd be busy for the next week with the harvest." Dale whined, sitting down on the couch, with a pout on his face.

"Why don't you help him? You're getting old enough now... just for an hour or so though okay? I don't want you to work yourself too hard." I said, and I watched as his eyes lit up. We hadn't let him work the harvest the past two seasons, because it had simply been too much work for a little boy... but he wouldn't die from working for an hour. And if it's what he wanted to do...

"Thanks Mom." He said softly, as he ran up and buried his face in my stomach so he could give me a hug.

"You're welcome. If you aren't back in an hour though I'm coming to find you, and you don't want that to happen!" I called as he sprinted out the door, almost smacking into Daryl, who was coming in from a run he had left for extremely early this morning.

"Where's he goin?" He asked gruffly, as he set his crossbow on the floor leaning up against the wall, and took off the rest of his weapons to hang on the coat rack.

"To help with the harvest. I told him he could for an hour, and that was it." I explained, sitting down on the couch where Dale had been, and a moment later Daryl joined me, pulling me into his side. I tucked my feet up underneath me, and watched as Sherry tried again to roll over.

"Sounds good love. How're you doing?" He asked, rubbing his hand down my arm gently, and pressing a soft kiss against my head.

"I'm doing good. I hate that I'm having to deal with the morning sickness again, but I know it won't last long." I said, rubbing my once again pregnant stomach. I had given birth to Sherry only six months ago, and I was once again pregnant. I had been joking with Daryl that he would need to get a vasectomy if he ever wanted to have sex with me again after this next birth. It was a joke of course, but as it seemed like every time we had sex I ended up pregnant, it may end up being less of a joke...

"I'm sorry love." He said simply, moving so his hand was resting on my stomach, and I let out a sigh at the warmth of it. For some reason, whenever he touches my stomach, the warmth of his hands makes the nausea go away.

"It's fine, how was the run? Find anything?" He nodded, nuzzling his head into my neck as he did.

"Yeah, got some more formula just in case, and found a couple bags of seeds. No new people though." He said gruffly, his voice muffled by my hair.

"Again? How long's it been since the last person? Like two weeks?" I asked softly, and he nodded.

"Yeah, last joiner was Mike, and he hadn't seen other people in six months. I think we're running out of people." He said softly, sadly, and I couldn't help but agree with him. We had a nice number of one hundred and twenty three people, but that wasn't enough.

We wanted to fill up our hospital, and right now, we were only using three of the twelve wings. And there were only a few families that had moved out onto the lawn like we did. Most stayed in the hospital, it was safer since the wall still hadn't gone up, but we still hadn't seen any walkers in a while either.

"It'll be okay. We'll find others eventually. We just have to hope that most people have built up communities like this, and are living well. That they don't need our help." I nodded, but I still had the nagging feeling that there were others out there, others that were dying, alone and afraid.

I wanted to save them. I just don't know how.

A/N: Okay guys... I can't believe I'm actually saying this, but the next chapter is the Epilogue! I know that there isn't as much of them being happy as some of you might have wanted, but I honestly couldn't just sit here and just write fluff chapters, I really am not good at that! So, I may write some bonus chapters eventually, like if I'm in the mood or have an idea or something, but for all intents and purposes, this story is almost over!

Enjoy the epilogue, and thank you so much for reading this far, and sticking with it through all the long breaks and the grammar problems, and everything.

I love you all so much, thank you.
