We played beer pong, which I enjoyed so much. Now I know why people like to party all the time.

The games, the fun, the alcohol, and the hookups. Man, I feel like I'm getting rebirth and seeing things for the first time.

Some teenagers are in the corner eating each other's faces, boy that's wild.

Kate never left my side, her arms were either on my shoulder or my waist. Sometimes she had her hand intertwined with mine, but I didn't care. I'm having so much fun.

"Hey, are you okay?" It was Kate. Her face is just inches from mine. I guess she had to get near me coz the music was so loud.

"I am sooo fineeee.." I leaned over her shoulder and spoke near her ear.

A part of me restraining myself as I was feeling so flirty and another part telling me just to go with the flow, enjoy it, and don't think.

"Anyways, I need a refill, so.." I stood up and went into the kitchen.

Kate stood up as well and held me carefully as I was already swaying.

"Hey, slow down. You're not gonna run out of alcohol." She's telling me laughing.

I looked at the time and it was just 09:30 in the evening and I suddenly remembered Emma. I took out my phone and checked it.

As expected, no message or anything.

Kate took from me my cup and she refilled it for me as I was still holding my phone trying to type a message.

"What are you doing?" She put the cup down on the table and tried to snatch my phone away from me.

"Stop it, Kate. Give it back."

"What the hell? Are you texting her? You're having fun 3 hours ago, why would you ruin it?" I could tell she was annoyed.

"I'm not ruining it, okay? I'm just, you know."

I tried to make excuses but she didn't buy it.

"No, Jenny. You gotta wake up, okay? She doesn't care about you."

I tried to say something to contradict that but she stopped it.

"Na-uhh.. It's been what now? 2 days and she hasn't texted you back? If she cared about you at all, she would've reached out to you by now. Just a single text, you know? But she didn't, she fucking didn't. I know I agreed with you and tried to support you, but this gotta stop, Jen. You look pathetic and desperate, please don't do this to yourself."

Every word she said just hit me hard, she's right. She is so right. Emma ignored me and didn't even check on me.

God, I cannot believe this.

Here I am, still waiting for her and what is she doing? Enjoying herself with her handsome boyfriend while I cry my heart out.

Kate is right.

What am I doing? I am so blindly in love with Emma that I don't see what it gets me. Pathetic and desperate.

I suddenly felt sober for a moment, I looked at Kate and her face didn't hold any regret of what she told me.

"I'm not sorry for what I said, it's the truth. Maybe what I said is a bit brutal but I think that's what you need-"

"I know, Kate. I'm not disagreeing with you. Actually... Thank you."

Kate couldn't believe what she just heard.

"Im-Im sorry, what?" She handed me my phone.

I burst out laughing at the funny expression she had on her face.

"What? What's so funny?"

She looks irritated now so I stopped.

"No, nothing. I just, I heard you now, Kate. All the things you just said, it made me think and realize things, and you're right."

"Ohh.." Disbelief was in her eyes.

Well, couldn't blame her. A while ago I gave her a speech about me fighting for Emma blah blah blah... And now I'm telling her that she was right and I'm agreeing with her.

"Anyways, like what you said, let's not ruin this night."

I took the red cup from the table, held Kate's hand, and gestured for her to go into the living room.

We danced, we sang along with the party songs that were playing. We even played more games and drank more alcohol.

There are fewer people now, maybe some of them went home and some are probably upstairs in the room going at it already.

I chuckled at that thought.

"Hey, what's funny?" Kate asked.

We were on the couch being cozy together, her back was laying on me so I was carrying half of her weight while she took my hand and played with my fingers.

I suddenly remember Emma. How we spend our time on the couch watching TV, playing games, and some other stuff.

"Hey? You okay?"

Kate faced me, she looked worried again.

"Yeah, of course, I'm fine." I told her giving her a fake laugh.

I tried to stand up but then I felt dizzy.

"Whoaa.."

Kate's hands were already on my waist when I dropped my body on top of her.

We both laugh at that.

"You're not going anywhere, My Jenny."

I know I'm drunk as I enjoyed how she addressed me.

I giggled at her and buried my face in her neck.

I felt Kate's hands start to roam, one of them was in my butt and the other one is caressing my back up to the back of my head.

I pulled my head up to look at her.

Her face is serious and her eyes, are holding so many emotions I couldn't read.

What is she doing?

Now her eyes turned to my lips.

Oh my, Is she gonna kiss me?

I know she's gonna kiss me but why am I not stopping her?

Because you're drunk and can't think straight, my mind shouted.

Not long after I felt her soft lips touch mine. My eyes involuntarily closed and felt the kiss.

A part of me saying this is wrong but again the other part is telling me it is okay and just enjoy the moment.

Her lips are moving sensually, trying to encourage me to do the same.

I slowly moved mine. Feeling the kiss.

I could still feel her hands exploring my body and the strange thing is, I'm not resisting it.

Is it the alcohol or am I starting to really like it?

And I think Kate was waiting for me to do so but when she felt that I wasn't going to, she continued and deepened the kiss.
