ALL I DO IS GIVE AND ALL YOU DO IS TAKE.
Hannah looked round the house from the ceiling to the chandelier, literally everything "your house is beautiful " she stated.
"It's part of the properties Baba left for me" she replied her voice laced with guilt she looked down and fidgeting with her fingers, Hannah was holding Noori and she couldn't stop looking at her. "she really does look like you" Hannah said and Jalilah smiled with confidence.
Hannah has been Jalilah's only friend, they've been through thick and thin, they were so close to the extent that they strangers thought they were from the same home, had sleepovers at their homes once in a while. They attended the same school and went to university together Hannah had studied chemistry while she studied microbiology, but still both of them were inseparable they even attended each others lectures and had the same circle of friends but everything changed when Hameed walked into her life.
"I'm sorry " she said almost in a whisper but Hannah could hear her "well that's all in the past now, and I'm sorry for leaving you all alone to yourself, I know it was hard " Hannah was already shedding tears "you tried to talk me out of it but I insisted, you were by my side all this while but I never saw it , you did your best to tell me that I was making a mistake but I.. I... I just I blew it up forgetting all the things we've been through" Jalialah was now sheding her own portion of the tears, her throat burned and the saltiness in her mouth was becoming intense.
They hugged each other crying their eyes out as if they had lost a very dear one, "you need to go back, ask Baba to forgive you and Ma Is always waiting for you to come back" Hannah was holding her hands as if her life depended on them, her knuckles all white for a lady with a complexion like hers. "it's not that easy, and now I have a child. Remember Baba asked me never to set a foot in his house and that I was no longer his..............."
"shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh......" Hannah interrupted her, placing her finger on her lips "family will always accept you. No matter your flaws, your scars and your Ill doings that's what makes you family. They're there to fill in the gaps that cannot be filled by anyone in this world and their love for you is unconditional even if they have weird ways of showing it " at that moment Jalilah thanked Allah for having a friend like her. She was a sister she never had and she accepted her whole heartily and never for once did she feel that they weren't meant to be "I want you to do one thing for me, if anything ever happens to me, please take care of my Noori for you're the only one that can take care of her like your own" Jalilah meant every word she said and she had full confidence that her friend will not disappoint her. Hannah smiled and said "you'll live to see your noori grow into the woman you want her to be. Think about what I told you and please do something to change the situation of things between you and Baba" Jalilah just smiled and nodded it was obvious her friend was hell bent on reuniting her and her family.
They made lunch together and ate, this was one of the things they used to do together and it made it seem as if nothing ever happened between them Jalilah had a reason to smile again, she was right when she said Noori brought light into her life it was because Allah gave her to her that she was able to rekindle with her best friend and she was on mission to meet her family once again .

"Keep that child silent this instance or you spend the night outside, she's literary disturbing the whole house " Hameed was tired of hearing Noori's cries at 2am.
"I'm trying my best, please lend me a hand " Jalilah pleaded "Not in this life, keep that child shut or get the hell out of this house. I need to sleep! " his words were as poisonous as venom.
What was her crime to be punished with such cruelty? All she ever did was give all she has and all he ever does is take without measures. "You're still standing there? Get out right now! " he roared with all the strength he had and Noori shrieked and cried the more this time louder than usual . He wasted no time in dragging the both of them down the stairs and to the back yard, locking the doors as fast as he could and turned deaf ears to her pleadings and the knocking . This time she realized his words were not just as poisonous as venom bit his actions were as ugly as sin.
The night breeze was cold and she was thankful she had carried a baby shawl while picking her up, wrapping the baby neatly in it by now she was asleep, how wonderful? The mother had no choice but to sit at the gazebo holding on tight to her bundle.
