It was really dark that night as she hurries to beat the time ,apart from being late her phone battery was dead and she was still far away from home after waiting for taxis and it proved abortive she decided to start the long trek home hissing at the time she's waited looking for a taxi with high hopes that she'll probably see a rickshaw on her way .
She started her walk on a lonely path with the cold breeze grazing her cheek and playing with the edge of her veil her books in one hand and her backpack hung lowly in her back , the orange buzz of the street lights made her feel safe and she walked quietly as if she was stepping on eggshells. Like a solitary soldier she kept going until strong arms from nowhere pulled her into a dark corner and held her mouth muffling her screams , her heartbeat was as loud as a drum and she swore she won't survive this panic attack. Tears pricked her eyes as she realized what the stranger was trying to do she begged with her eyes and prayed silently for the nightmare to be over but alas it was reality and she wished she never came out that day .
She watched as he ran off after taking her innocence till she lost consciousness on the cold hard ground that cold night .
Taking a sharp breath she screams and shrugs out of bed . The bedside clock showed 2:30 am and she let the tears fall until this day the event of that day never cease to remind her of her plight . Who'll she ever be free ?
There and then she picked up herself and made a cup of coffee sitting on the one seater chair in her bed room looking outside the window, she wondered if the person that hurt her still lives or even know he has a son .
