SURPRISE MOTHER FUCKER DOUBLE UPLOAD

I took a shaky breath as I opened my eyes.

It was still night.

Somehow I was warm.

I turned to see Julio's sleeping face.

I tried to scream but my voice had disappeared.

"She's awake!" Will's voice came from somewhere.

Will and Devon came out of no where.

I tried to talk but no words came out.

"She's dehydrated. She'll die soon, why are we still here?"

I mouthed 'still here?'

"Uh... Oh! Yes we are. You told us to stay before you passed out."

Julio groaned.

"What's going on?" He asked sleepily. He shot up when he saw me awake. "I told you guys to wake me up before her!"

"She woke up earlier than we thought."

Julio got up and scratched the back of his neck awkwardly.

"So why are we still here?"

I pointed at my wrist and mouthed 'time?'

"Why isn't she talking?" Julio questioned again.

"Dehydration. No way to talk."

"I kinda like her like this."

I glared and he smirked.

I made a motion with my arms as if I was cradling a baby.

"Baby?" Devon tried to decode the charades.

I scratched my chin as if there were a beard there.

"Chin? Curious? Beard?"

I put my finger on my nose and nodded rapidly.

"Dakota. It's Dakota." Will figured it out. I nodded and tried talking again. No luck.

"Save your voice, Jay. Just tell us about Dakota." Devon encouraged me.

I thought for a moment.

Then I made a motion as if there we a syringe in my hand. I pretended to inject it into my arm.

"Drugs?!"

I don't remember how many times I mouthed 'no'.

I did every motion that related to medicine possible before there was a knock from somewhere.

It was then I became aware we were inside an abandoned house.

I tried to get to my feet but they were numb.

"Great job you did warming her up." Will rolled his eyes at Julio.

"It's not my fault Devon called guard duty and you already have..." He glanced at me. "Someone."

"Forget that, there's someone at the door." Devon broke up the argument.

I pointed at the door even though my fingers were numb.

"Well, answer it." Julio nodded.

Devon approached the door and opened it.

Dakota stood there with Dashiell in one arm and a large duffel bag in the other.

I smiled.

Devon let Dakota in and they dug into the bag.

Food, water, medicine, blankets and clothes.
