After graduating from Teiko Middle School, myself and my teammates all split up to go to various high schools.
Kise now goes to Kaijo High,
Midorima chose to go to Shutoku High,
Aoimine and Satsuki went together to Touou High,
Kuroko decided to go to Seirin High,
Akashi unsuprisingly attended Rakuzan High,
And I settled on Yosen High.
Before we had all graduated, Akashi rounded the rest of us up - excluding Kuroko - one last time to discuss what will happen in the near future. Our schools will meet in the tournaments and we would finally see who was the strongest out of us.
-
Winter was approaching fast, and the cold weather hit us before we knew it. However the cold weather was probably the least of my concerns. Even so, I slipped on my coat and scarf alongside my jacket and made sure I had a crisp packet to hand before opening the door to find a certain dark-haired boy waiting.
"...Muro-chin? How long have you been waiting?" I asked after a brief pause.
Himuro Tatsuya. The first friend I made at Yosen and the one who accepted me into the basketball team. You wouldn't call him one of the Miracles, but after watching him play you can definitely say he's nearly on par with us.
"Not too long. I've managed to get accustomed to your unsual sleep schedule and morning routines, Atsushi." The boy chuckled.
That's unnecessary dedication, but whatever.
"Uh-huh...cmon, let's go.." I shut the door behind me and we made our way to the school.
As we were walking, and me munching on my snacks, I partially zoned out trying to remember my subjects for the day.
Dammit...erm...it was Maths...no- double maths...then I believe it was Japaense..then English- ugh, Muro-chin better not show off because he's American...
"Atsushi...Atsushi..?" A voice called. It was Himuro.
"H-Huh!? Wuzzup?" I yawned in a dazed voice before snapping back into reality just in time for me to narrowly avoid a pole that I would've walked into.
Himuro laughed slightly, "Daydreaming? Are you sure you got enough sleep?"
"I'm perfectly fine." I groaned during a mouthful of crisps.
"Anyway," He started, "I heard there was a new girl joining today. Apparantly she's really pretty, and I have a feeling she might be your type-"
"No." I replied codly.
Himuro sighed. "This again?"
"I've told you before and I don't need to do it again.." I muttered in annoyance.
He sighed again. "You never know Atsushi, you never know."
I simply rolled my eyes in disgust. Never.
-
We took our seats in the classroom, I was in the back corner next to the window and Himuro was sititng in the desk infront of me.
I stared blankly at my desk, taking in what Himuro said earlier on our way to the school. Having him mention about 'that' was causing me to have flashbacks from the con all those years back.
I want her, and her only...even if I never find her my heart will always belong to her.
The teacher spoke up. "I was supposed to introduce a new student joining us, however is seems she isn't in today...-"
Then, as if on cue, a girl burst into the room.
"I-I'm so sorry, I got l-lost and-"
The teacher, recovering from a mini-heart attack from the sudden entry, calmed down the girl and let her step up to introduce herself to the class.
I looked up to see who this girl was, and instantly my eyes widened.
Wait...it can't be...this can't be happening...
Her long, snow-white hair, those familiar enchanting eyes and her timid, cute posture. There was no denying it.
It was the girl from the con.
She took a deep breath.
"H-Hello, my name i-is Koharu Kirina...n-nice to meet you..."
