Frankie Harlow commented on the split saying "Mika is my favorite person in the world and I hate to see her hurting. Shes my sister and im so so close with her. Everything I do is for her so when I see her so distraught, it makes me feel the same way. If she's sad, then I'm sad." He responded to a fan on twitter.

Harlow was seen walking the day after the break up with Shawn Mendes looking very glum. She had fresh tears on her cheeks but Mendes was seen holding her. The two walked back to Harlows apartment and when asked about a comment, they chose to stay silent.
