"Augustus, I did not wish to say this in front of the others, but Subject One is highly unstable."

"How unstable, Marius?"

"Enough for me to doubt she has the ability to retain her sanity."

Augustus's lips thinned. "Then why did you suggest her as a subject? She is a liability now. She will bring forth attention that we cannot afford."

"We needed to get rid of her. We still do."

"Why? She is insignificant compared to the big picture as well are the other subjects that were chosen."

"She is not who we think her to be, Augustus," Maris replied, leaning back in his chair. "She is significant like a fly, my friend, and she needs to be dealt with soon."
