By the by, I'm writing this while I'm sick af and everything hurts so bad. But anyway, let's begin, before I die.

Your eyes darted open as you felt eyes on you. Your head felt groggy and you tried to lift your hand to massage your aching temples, but to no avail. Both of your hands were trapped within metal restraints, which were chained to the floor beneath the cold, hard, wooden chair which you were seated on. Your feet were also bound to the legs of the chair. You began to try to heat up your body using your quirk, but we're quickly interrupted by a voice.

"Don't even try. It'll do more damage to you than it will to the restraints." they said. You looked up to see a man with dark hair and an almost patchwork sort of face. The darker patches on his skin appeared to be scars, potentially from burns judging by the number and side of them. You attempted to lean forward to get a closer look, but we're stopped by a metal ring around your neck, which was attached to a chain.

"I have questions. Who are you, where am I and why am I here?" You asked, trying to keep your voice as calm as you could. The mysterious man just looked at you, before taking a few steps closer, pulling out a stool from the bar that you were close to and taking a seat in front of you. You now began to recognise this person as one of the villains that the police had been chasing after. He was a member of the League, and a powerful one at that.

"You can call me Dabi. Where you are doesn't matter. And how you got here also doesn't matter. All you need to know for now is that you're a key part in ours current mission." He said, barely a hint of emotion present. He seemed almost bored.

You had rapidly become one of the most popular and most powerful heroes. You were also a teacher at Shiketsu High, so you had a high amount of popularity. Anything we're to happen to you, and most civilians, along with many of the heroes who you'd grown close to, would be devastated. Your eyes widened, and the man sitting in front of you noticed that you'd finally managed to catch on.

"If most people's favorite hero were to go missing, or perhaps even become a villain, what would that do to society?" He asked, and smirked a little. "It would ruin everyone's faith in heroes. But, it would make your life so much easier, so how about it? Care to join us?" You looked at him for a brief moment before shaking your head.

"I'm a hero. I will be one until I die. Or retire, if I last that long." You said, attempting to make some sort of joke at the end, but you just earned some sort of pitiful glance from the male in front of you. "I mean, I do this shit to protect people, to make sure no one gets hurt, why would I turn myself into somebody who's only purpose is hurting people?" You asked.

"But the world of heroes is corrupt."
"You're heroes in your own eyes, aren't you?" You quickly responded. He looked at you for a moment, nodding slowly.

"So you understand. Then why won't you join us?"
"Because I am one of those heroes that aren't corrupt. One who's only interest is saving people. I understand that life is terrible some times, but that just means that people need the light of a hero even more." You smile a little, despite the current situation, as Dabi stays silent. He listens to you ramble on about the duty of a hero, and how you can't afford to let the light of heroes die out. He felt moved by the words you spoke, but said nothing and showed no emotion. No reactions occurred until he heard you speak one line.

"Is it too late for you to turn back now? Could you ever change your ways?" At this, he rose from his seat, and you could have sworn you saw a tear in the males eye.

"Yes. It's too late for me." Was what he heard, and then you felt a sharp pain in the back of your neck.
"Keep shining brightly, though. Maybe we'll meet again some day." was all you heard before blacking out.

You woke the next day in a hospital room, reporters and police soon surrounded you to question you, but you couldn't bring yourself to say anything. You thought you'd keep his secret, for now at least.
