Happy in my true self?

This poem is dedicated to all those who find it hard to be comfortable in their own skin.
I know that feeling and it's not really great.

I know that feeling and it's not really great

One day
I pray I would be bold enough.
To really put myself out there and let out my feelings.

Let my true self out,
to stop holding on behind the curtains.
Hiding under the desk
and
to be able to speak up, speak out!
To start living.

Sometimes I wonder.
Is this how other teenagers live,
is this what other teenagers go through?
Spending their time thinking and being depressed like I am?

Will anyone really understand how I feel?
How I see things in my own perspective
and when they do,
Will they judge me?
Will they look at me differently?
Or will they welcome me with open arms?

All I ask for is to be happy in my true self.
To break out of this shell
and really let loose.
To be free.
