What happened to this girl and why was she hidden away? Why did she have bruises? Was she abused? The girl looked at all of us with a scared and pleading look in her eyes. She got up off the floor and stared at us. "How did you find me?" She questioned. "We found your secret room by touching the books." Rocky answered. "You must go. Ms. Henry will hurt me because you found me. I don't want another beating, please." She begged. This girl was abused! I smiled and whispered to the boys. "We're adopting you!" I smiled. "Explain that to Ms.Henry." She scoffed. I heard a woman yell. "Sweety, everyone is gone! Time for you daily beating!" That must be Ms. Henry. I grabbed her hand and took her to Ms. Henry. She looked shocked that I found her. "You abused her. Why? I don't know. We're adopting her though." I took the adoption papers, signed them and helped Kailee pack quickly. I found out that that was her name. We got in the car and drove away. "Why did she hurt you?" I asked Kailee. "Because I was different. They all hurt me. I'm surprised I'm still alive." She chuckled. "Why are you laughing about this?" Ryland asked. "Hey, I've been in that dump for 7 years! I learned how to lighten the mood in the worst situations. The worst thing is though, I could've defended myself, but I didn't and I don't know why. Although, this was the worst time you could've adopted me." She said. "Why?" Ross asked. She didn't answer, but I heard something that she mumbled under her breath. "Conspiracy."
