Kailee's POV
I ran down to the bathroom to help Meara. My hands slammed down on the knob and I could hear Meara's heart rate speed up. "Open the door Meara, it's me." I said. Thank god today is Friday. Yah I know! Going to school for your first time in a Friday? Well, don't judge! I'll rip all yo throats out! I heard the door unlock and I quickly whipped open the door. I closed it quickly behind me and bent down beside Meara. "Okay Big Bad Wolf! Please grab me a towel!" Meara threw her hands up in the air. I rolled my eyes. I pointed two fingers at the towel hanging on the rack and curled my fingers inward quickly. The towel flew and smacked Meara in the face, landing in her lap. I smirked and she just slapped my arm. She grabbed the towel and rubbed her tail. In seconds, her legs were back and no scales. Victory! "Why didn't you use your heat?" I asked. "I really don't want any suspicion rising with your smile when they see smoke coming from the bathroom." Meara said. I laughed and nodded my head in agreement. We headed out to the kitchen and I saw a note. I picked it up. It read, 'We all went to the store. It usually takes all of us to get the job done. Mom and Dad are out of town doing some band management work. PS sorry about the water.' I tossed the note back into the counter and smiled. "Hey Mearaaaaaa!" I sing-songed, dragging out the A. "What?" Meara said suspiciously. "Let's go....... HUNTING!" I screamed. "What?! N-" I cut her off by gripping onto her arm and dragging her outside with me into the woods.
It took longer than normal, especially with a person dragging their heels into the dirt when your trying to drag them with you, but we made it to my favorite hunting grounds. I let Meara's arm go and smiled at her. She smiled nervously back at me. I scanned the area and saw a rabbit. Small, but good enough. Then a scent hit me. It smelled like wolf. I looked at the rabbit and a blur took it. I growled out into the trees. I hear rustling and running paws. I hear a crack. I look to my left. Something dark is thrown into the light. The rabbit that I was after is now in the open. It is now just a corpse. I growled again and a wolf stepped out of the dark. This wolf was a definite werewolf. It was as big as me. It was a white wolf, with black stripes on its body here and there. The back of its ears were black, plus the front tips. The rest of the ear was white. The black continued, covering all four of its paws and the tip of its tail. Its purple eyes seemed to glow as the light reflected of of them. It stalked toward me, shifting even more by the step into its human form. She was a few feet away from me before she was completely human. It was a girl. She looked about 15 with brown hair. She was 5'3. Her hair went a little bit past her shoulders and her jeans had a rip in the ankle. Her black shirt definitely hid her. She wasn't a rogue, but wasn't a pack member. This is girl was thrown out of her pack because she was framed. "I'm Tara Lahey. Who are you?" She asked. "I'm Kailee Lynch. Do you want to come to my house? I could help you. I can tell what happened. The hunters will be coming for you soon too." I told her. Meara was by my side. I could tell she was a bit oblivious, but nonetheless understood this more than my family would. She nodded and I smiled. She was olde than me, yes. I was 11 and she was 15. I could tell be her scent and of course her height and looks. We all walked toward the direction of my house. Oh how I hope Stormie and Mark would want another werewolf to adopt. After all, they've survived one, they could survive one more.
That was Nightshadelovrgal as Tara! Go follow her! Nightshadelovrgal will be in this book as now a main character!
