Chapter 4

Kailee's POV

The hunters want me to die. They have almost done it while I was hunting for food. When we got to R5's house, they showed me my room. Yes, I'm an R5 fan. I may have stalked someone watching TV when I was outside there house. Anyway, my room was blue and had a decent sized bed. A desk had a computer and iPhone 5s beside it. I smiled and hugged them tight. I finally got out of that dump. There was a window that let me look into the woods. Perfect hunting grounds. They left and I decided to put up my posters and hang up my clothes. I had no dresses or fancy shoes. Only jeans, sweats, t shirts and tennis shoes. I put my wolf posters on my walls and lied on my bed. Rydel came in and sat beside me. I smiled and she spoke. "So, why was it a bad time to adopt you?" She asked. "I shouldn't have brought it up. Just..... drop it. I won't talk about it. Let's just say I don't think you'll be having me for long." And I rushed her out of my room.

Rydel's POV

What is that supposed to mean? It was like a joke, but she sounded worried and sincere. I walked down to the living room and the boys turned to me. "Where's Kailee? You were supposed to have her watch a movie with us." Rocky said. "Guys, I'm worried. Kailee said that she that it was a bad time to adopt her. I asked why. She said something made me confused more." I told them. "What was it?" Ryland asked. "She said that we won't be having her around much longer. Is someone out to mirder her?" I asked them. "Maybe. The killers may be the reason she lost her parents." Ross suggested. "Yeah, Ms. Henry said before we left her parents were murdered and when we found out how se was different, we would send her back." Riker answered. What could Kailee be keeping from us? Why didn't she want to call the cops? Why didn't she want help? These questions ran through my mind as I thought. "I have an idea, but first we have to wait a while." I said. We watched the movie to pass the time.
