We've been working hard to set everything up and now the time has come to have our gender reveal. We know the gender but our friends and family don't. It has been hard to not tell anyone but it's all worth it because today will be fun.
Everyone is here, celebrating with us. We have Cassandra videoing on my phone so we can post on social media after the events over.
Bryce "gather around the cake, we are revealing the gender!"
We cut a piece and slowly lift it to reveal a vanilla white cake, and Bryce says "well looks like it's time to go to the eggs. Surely, they know the gender."
We begin cracking eggs on each other, luckily they're all empty so that we ain't got any yolk on us since the reveal isn't in them either.
I say "surely that giant balloon outside knows the gender!"
We all walk to the gender, I hold the balloon and Bryce pops it. White and black confetti come falling out. We say "I guess we will just have to play darts and see if one of those balloons know!"
We took turns shooting at the balloons and finally Bryce had hit the right balloon. Pink paint came splashing out of the balloon and all over the wooden wall that the balloons were stapled to.
Everyone cheers that it's a girl. Bryce and I are glowing from the excitement.
Bryce's mom "I'm having a grand daughter? I can't wait to spoil her!"
Cassandra "oooh a new bestieeeee!"
My dad "congratulations, y'all! She's gonna be gorgeous!"
Luke "this is dope! Our girls can be friends!"
Mark "guess we better buy guns to protect her when she's in school!"
Alana "another girl to the squad! I knew it!"
Bryce's dad "I cant wait to meet the princess!"
My mom "this is amazing! I'm so glad we get a granddaughter!"

—7 months along—

I am now in my seventh month of pregnancy. You can definitely tell that there's a bump. She's gonna be a big baby. So far, she's as healthy as they come with the checkups.
This month, I have to do the glucose sugar test. That's something I'm not prepared for. My appointments go from monthly to every two weeks now.
It's the night before my appointment, I have to fast so no eating passed 12AM. Luckily the appointment is at 8 so I'm only gonna be without food for 8 hours.
Fasting is definitely not something that sounds fun but luckily I will be asleep so I won't have much to worry about.
We're at the clinic, in the room waiting for Dr Tulip. She says "orange or fruit punch? Most women prefer the fruit punch!" I choose the fruit punch drink and she says "drinking it fast gets it over with quicker than slow drinks."
I chug it but it's so gross, it's hard to not want to puke it all up. It's so sickening. How are they testing for diabetes by giving a drink that is basically all sugar? Makes no sense.
After finishing and getting my blood drawn, we wait for the results. After a while, Dr Tulip tells me that I'm not diabetic and that I'm free to go home now.
