Chapter 43

"You want my stand to shoot that with it's hand?" Josuke asked while pointing at the rifle bullets.

"Yeah actually me and Charlotte should do it" Jotaro gave me two bullets and walked away.

"Why did you have to say it like that?" Josuke asked with a pissed off expression "I'm the one who took care of the other rat it wasn't a perfect shot but-"

"Here have two then" Jotaro gave him two bullets.

Josuke crouched down really depressed "You asked for that, anyway there's three of us we will be fine" I reassured him.

"You're right!" He yelled and grabbed my hand and pulled me along to catch up to Jotaro.

Josuke paused when Jotaro gave him a death glare he then noticed he grabbed my hand "Sorry!" He yelled and let go I just laughed.

We got to a part with water and Jotaro just walked in getting his shoes soaked Jotaro groaned because I jumped onto his back "Yeah I'm not getting my shoes wet" I told him he made sure I won't fall off.

Josuke took off his socks and shoes "There are leeches in this water" Jotaro warned him.

Josuke was already in the water and panicked dropping his shoes and socks "You have awful timing" I sighed.

I jumped off Jotaro once we reached the other side and Josuke cried about his socks being wet as he put them on "Soggy" He complained.

We carried on until Jotaro stopped "Be careful the footprints stop here" Jotaro warned us, and he looked very tense.

"Why did they stop here!? It must be under the dirt!" Josuke yelled.

"Did it backtrack? No, a rat couldn't think of that" I mumbled confused.

"It seems like the rat did," Jotaro told us, and we all stood with our backs to each other to make sure it can't attack us without us seeing it first.

We have hills on both sides of the path, so we are in a bad terrain because it can easily shoot at us from far away "We need to hide behind a rock" Josuke pulled me down to hide behind a rock that magically appeared.

"The stand's shot shouldn't be faster than us so watch out for where it's coming from" Jotaro instructed us and got out his bullets I did the same.

"The hell?!" Josuke shouted and stood up next to me, and we both looked at him to see that he got his hand caught in a mouse trap.

I stopped time and pulled him down before the rat's bullet could get him.

Time unpaused and I got the mousetrap off his hand "Thanks" Josuke said a bit confused.

"I know where the rat is hiding" Jotaro informed us "Halfway up the hill near those three rocks."

"Your all amazing!" Josuke exclaimed.

Jotaro got down behind the rock with us and used his binoculars to see what the rat is doing "It doesn't look like it's going to shoot it must know if it shoots to much we will be able to pinpoint his location and attack, stubborn rat."

"We need to do something" Josuke grew impatient.

"Well said Josuke we will give you all six rounds," Jotaro told him.

"Yeah, that would be for the best" I handed my two bullets to Josuke, and he looked like he wanted to cry.

"It's up a sloop so aim one centimeter lower than the target" Jotaro handed him the binoculars.

"Where are you both going?" Josuke asked.

"We are going to be the targets even if we get hit your stand can heal us where it can't heal you and I can pause time longer than Jotaro so if the rat gets a fatal shot at him I can move him myself if he runs out of time" I explained as we went up the hill.

It shot three at once and Jotaro paused time, and we both moved to the left and dodged them as time unpaused.

"Did you find it!?" Jotaro called out to him.

"No, it moved after it fired!" He shouted back.

"I hate that we are having so much trouble with a god damn rat" I groaned.

It shot again, and we dodged but once we did the bullets ricocheted off something and hit us "Okay it knows we can pause time this rat has the brain of a human" I mumbled and felt the feeling in my legs go it got my knees.

Jotaro's arm and foot got hit "Charlotte! Jotaro!" Josuke yelled.

"Look for the rat don't mind us dying here!" I yelled back.

"How are we gonna move?" Jotaro groaned.

"Rolling," I answered he gave me a look screaming that was a stupid answer.

It shot again I rolled over and it actually worked Jotaro was standing up and moved to the right, but he got shot in the chest "I told you to roll" I looked at him concerned.

Josuke shot at the rat but it only broke a rock it was hiding behind "Again!" I yelled to him.

Josuke shot another and it got the rat right through the head "Ha call me Josuke Higashikata the man who deflects pressure!" He said with a cocky smile.

"Hey! Mr reflective I would like to have my legs working again and my husband to not become a slime!" I called out to him.

"Sorry!" He yelped and ran to us and healed us with his stand.

The next day I went out to explore I left before Jotaro woke up, so he doesn't follow me because he needs his sleep and doesn't need to always worry about me all the time "Charlotte I mean Mrs Kujo!"

I looked up to see Koichi waving to me "Hello Koichi just call me Charlotte."

"Okay" He rubbed his head shyly.

We walked together for a bit and talked "Koichi" We heard a voice.

We looked around "Over here!"

"AH! ROHAN KISHIBE!!" Koichi screeched.

"An enemy?" I asked.

"No, I'm not going to harm him I used my stand to read him and I actually feel a lot of admiration for him" He explained then stared at me "Do I know you?"

"I don't know you, my name is Charlotte Kujo," I told him and he screamed.

"CHARLOTTE SENPAI!! I LOVE YOUR WORK!!" He fanboyed.

"Oh, I see you know my art?" I asked overwhelmed by this guy's sparkling eyes.

"Yes! You're my biggest inspiration please let me read you and be friends?!" He asked and held my hands.

"We can be friends and instead of reading me I will tell you anything you want to know," I told him, and he had the biggest smile on his face.

"Anyway, Koichi I lived here when I was little and hoped you could help me find the place I use to live at for nostalgia sake" He explained and then pointed at a map of the town and one of the shops that should be in view from where we are isn't actually there.

"Could you come with me Koichi, Charlotte?" He asked and Koichi didn't want to "Even after I Rohan Kishibe asked you? It's fine if you don't want to Charlotte" He changes completely when he talks to me.

"I can use my stand if something bad happens" I reassured Koichi as we crossed the street.
