Finally

Good news, I Finally get to get rid of the crutches. Even thought I have to wear the brace for a few more weeks, but that's fine.

I come home and yell "No crutches! So wassup!"

No one responded. Must not be home, i guess.

Mila: ma? Mattia? Pa?

No response. Okay...

It's 90° in New Jersey, So i decide why not go tanning in the backyard. My doctor said it's okay to take off my brace when I'm laying down, so no uneven tan lines ladies 😋.

I put on this swim suit: (sorry it's so blurry)

I put on some sun tan lotion and oil and lay back.

I'm home! I hear someone say. Must be Mattia.

I look up and see Mattia, Kairi, and Alex standing there.

Kairi looks shocked.

Mila: stare much? Maybe take a picture, it'll last longer.

Kairi snaps out of it.

Kairi: sorry sorry.

Alejandro: never seen a girl in a bikini before, eh?

Kairi: shut up, obviously I have.

Mattia: then quit staring at my sister.

I laugh and lay back down and close my eyes.

Alejandro: everyone's going to the carnival today.

Kairi: where's your brace and crutches

Mattia: ohhhhh, is that why you weren't home? You're off the crutches right?

Mila: yep, just have to wear the brace for a few more weeks.

Alejandro: good, that means you can go to the carnival then. And before you know it, you'll be playing soccer with us again.

Damn i miss it.

I nod my head. They all go back inside.

About 30 minutes passed and I'm tired. I put my brace back on and head inside. Alejandro, Kairi, Mattia, and Mar are standing around the island counter. Mar looks me up and down, grins, and licks his lips.

Mila: what are you doing here?

Mar: i came to see you and ask if you wanted to go to the carnival with me?

Mila: oh, yeah I was planning on going. The guys told me about it earlier.

Mar: so, is that a yes to going with me then?

Mila: i mean, sure sure.

He frowns. Probably wasn't the response he was looking for

Mila: of course I would Mar. don't be such a baby.

I walk to my room and get the clothes Im going to wear the carnival. (Just imagine it with white Air Force 1 though)

I walk out of my room and see that there was only Mar. great, this is gonna be awkward. Every time the boys come over he barely comes by me. And After that one time he pulled away and kept being weird a few weeks ago, things have been a little awkward. What's going on with him? What's going on with us?

I smile softly.

Mar: you good?

Mila: yeah, you know, just my knee and all.

He grabs my hand and we walk to his car.

Mar: we're just gonna meet the guys there. They already left.

Mila: i noticed. I roll my eyes.

Mar: attitude?

Mila: I'm just tired from being out in the sun.

Mar: nah, you've been acting weird for weeks.
Ever since...

Mila: yeah, i know. I was thinking about that earlier. Why did you pull away from me?

Mar: want me to be honest?

Mila: only if it's a good type of honest, otherwise i don't want to hear it.

Mar: no no it's good, I promise. It's just- nah nevermind it's too cheesy.

Mila: no, tell me. It's okay.

Mar: it's just, ugh how do I say this... I don't want whatever we HAVE to be based around us hu and kissing and all that shit you know? I want to be able to comfort you when you're going through something.

he emphasizes the "have". What are we anyways?

Mila: Aw, Mariano. Don't get all soft on me.

Mar: trust me, I don't want to. I just want to be honest with you shorty.

Mila: i get it. I grab his right hand that was resting on my thigh. Didn't notice it was there till rn. And thank you. Because if I'm gonna be honest. I get so scared.

Mar: of me?

Mila: yeah. You can have any girl you want, and you choose me. And you're THE Mariano Castano, girls are all over you all the time.

Mar: i chose you for a reason, just know that. But hey, don't get all soft on me Mila.

Mila: trust me, i don't want to do that ahaha. You can tell me anything Mar. you don't have to keep anything from me. I'd rather you be honest then lie to me you know?

Mar: yeah, i got you shorty.

I smile over at him. Things are back to normal... for right now.

Hiiiii, this chapter was kind of a filler i guess but next chapter will be better, you'll see. Things are a little awkward with Mila and Mar right now, but eventually things will go back to normal.
