Once you had unloaded the rest of the luggage from the wagons, you started on a few chores. Carrying hay, seed sacks, and water buckets. You also washed the clothes that Old lady had asked you to do. Some of the girls you worked aside gave you a look or two. But never spoke to you. They had the odd chatter to one another and a whisper most likely about you, but you really didn't care. You got on with your work and finished washing pretty quick.

You'd attempted to chop some wood but Arthur stopped you.
"You may be an O'Driscoll. But you're still a woman." He said has he took the axe from your dainty hands.
You'd protested at first obviously but with Arthur's charm and your awkwardness, you backed down pretty quick.

You made your way around the back of Pearson's wagon and headed over to Kieran. You'd found him earlier but you didn't want to run over and cause a scene.

"How ya doing brother?" You asked as you stood by him.

He picked his head up and smiled weakly.
"Never better." He replied sarcastically.

There was a slight pause before you decided to break the silence with a question.
"Do you know where Colm is, Kieran?" You asked in a low whisper as you leaned down to him.

He didn't reply.
"Kieran...you gotta tell them! They'll do anything to get it out of you, you know that. We aren't running for him no more, we got no loyalties!" You snapped, still whispering but louder.

"If I tell them (Y/N), when they make a move, Colm will know it was one of us and he'll do all he can to kill us." Kieran explained in a loud whisper.

"Oh I'd like to see him try! That old geezer can suck on the back of my boot when I kick him in the face if I ever see him or his boys again". You snapped, getting a little louder.

"You just don't get it do you? They come after me, they come after you. I can't have them touchin' you (Y/N). No way." Kieran said, loudly at first but it turned into a whisper.

"I get that Kieran but..." you stopped as you saw someone coming round the back of the wagon.
"I'll talk to you later. Okay?" You said as you rubbed his shoulder.

"Yeah, okay." He responded.

You walked off to stand by the edge of the cliff at camp and stare out across the valley.

"So. What can you do?" You heard a familiar gruff voice say.
You turned to see Arthur standing not too far behind you.

"In regards to what Mr.Morgan?" You asked, turning back around to face the valley with your arms crossed.

"Well, What are ya good at? Can't just sit around camp all day doin' chores can ya?" Arthur replied.

"What? You're gunna let me go out for work?" You asked turning and walking to Arthur with a smile.

"Well. We'll have to see about that. Can't have you going out causing trouble." Arthur said making gestures with his hands.

"I won't I promise!" You said happily. You were kinda desperate to get on Arthur's good side. That way, he can put in a good word for you when he speaks to Dutch. Not that you were using him to butter up Dutch for you. You genuinely felt like you'd grow to like Arthur.

You and Arthur remained looking across the land for a moment longer.

"You never answered my question." Arthur said gruffly.

You pulled a puzzled face but quickly remembered what he meant.
"Ah well...I can fish. I'm not brilliant but I'll do it. I'm alright at tracking. But my best trait would be my herbalism." You explained. Beaming with pride.
