"Sean! Hurry up, goddamn ya." You hollered Sean from across the camp as you tapped your foot impatiently and folded your arms.
"You still think this was a good idea? Taking that fool?" Micah snarled from just behind you. He's settled himself on a tree stump and was cleaning your pistol with a rag.
You rolled your eyes as you turned to waltz towards him slowly.
"Well, the gentleman who I wanted to come doesn't seem to want to. So, Sean will have to do. We'll be fine. Are you about done with that?" You asked as you nodded down at the gun and went to take it when Micah moved out of your reach."Have some patience darlin'. Almost finished." Micah concluded, smirking as he continued to slowly clean the gun.
"Yeah, you said this ages ago...SEAN! You ready?" You mumbled then proceeded to shout across camp, causing Micah to flinch.
"Miss Duffy do hurry the boy, I fear we will be late." Trelawny pointed out as he tapped his no doubt highly expensive watch. He keeps reminding you of stuff and you might accidentally snatch it away one night.
"I know, he's coming." You reassured the man bluntly. Sean's tardiness was irritating even you now.
Huffing, you dropped your head forward slightly and brought your hand up to rest on your forehead. After a moment, you felt a weight appear at your holster and a hand land on your hip.
"Don't get yourself so worked up, only a little job." Micah cooed in your ear before kissing your neck. His beard tickling your skin."Not just a job though is it. We need money right now. This needs to go well." You answered as you tilted your head back for him and brought your hand to his own neck momentarily.
Gripping your waist, Micah spun you round to face him, bringing his finger and thumb to your chin.
"And it will, you'll do fine." He cooed with his rough yet honeyed tone.
Smiling, you moved forward to kiss him at first quite gently, yet it escalated quickly, his hand slipping under your hair to hold the back of your neck."Okay! I'm here, I'm here, Jesus." You heard Seans voice approach causing you to abruptly break the kiss and look over your shoulder.
Sean had approached Trelawny who was stood with the horses."Better get going." You mumbled quietly to Micah as you went to pull away yet he pulled you back.
"Whoa, whoa, not so fast. I wasn't done with you." Micah hummed as he went to kiss you again, passionately this time.
"Hey hey come on now! Thought it was me we were waitin' for?" Sean called across to the two of you, sarcastically making a point.
You grumbled as you pulled away from Micah in annoyance, leaving Micah to chuckle to himself at your clear aggravation towards young Sean.
"Finally. Can we go now?'' Sean whined, gesturing towards the horses like he'd been waiting hours.
"We'd already be there if it weren't for you. Now get on the horse before I put you under it." You loosely threatened Sean as you glared at him and sharply pointed a finger in his direction. You say loosely, because behind your current anger, you cared for Sean. He unfortunately seemed to have gotten the hang of pushing your buttons.
"Jesus, you two swap places or somethin'?" Sean retaliated as he went over to his horse and swung his leg up.
Shaking your head with a sigh and briefly rolling your eyes, you too mounted January and entered the path, following Trelawny who was ready to go.
The two of you began trotting down the path and were eventually grouped with Sean once he caught up."Women, ay Josiah? No patience." Sean laughed as he attempted to converse with Trelawny.
You took a deep breath as you ignored Sean. He would not get a reaction out of you.
"Come on now, let's all kiss and make up. We have a job to do which will need a lot of teamwork." Josiah brushed off, staying on topic.
