The race back to camp was...annoying. You WERE winning, then Micah tricked you to send you in the opposite direction of the camp. So now here you are, riding into camp behind him.
"Lesson learned. Never challenge a Bell." Micah said to you with a smug smile as he dismounted Baylock.
With a surprised laugh, you got down off January and went over to him."I would have won if you didn't send me in the wrong direction you goddamn cheat!" You argued playfully.
He chuckled at your outburst.
"Me? Cheat? I have no idea what your talking about Miss." He teased."Yeah. Sure thing Micah." You responded with a little laugh.
As you looked into the camp you noticed Dutch looking over at the two of you, smoking a cigar as usual. Your eyes drifted to Kieran who was walking around the camp doing chores! He'd been released! A wide smile appeared on your face as you sprinted towards him.
Dutch's gaze followed you as you ran to your brother but he quickly looked back to Micah who shook his head with a warm smile on his face at the somewhat beautiful bond between siblings.
He put his hands into his pockets before walking over to Dutch."Well. You two seem to be getting along just fine." Dutch enquired as he Micah approached. He took a deep drag on his cigar and blew out the smoke slowly.
"Me and the O'Driscoll? Ah, she's okay. Surprised to see her again actually. Why'd you let her to come get me?" Micah asked, coming to a stop as he reached the tent.
"I didn't really. Arthur practically insisted. It's good to see you haven't fallen under the spell yet." Dutch spat. There was something the Dutch really didn't trust about you.
"Spell? What spell?" Micah asked sounding confused as he chuckled slightly at Dutch's choice of words.
"Ah, everyone seems to be defending her now. Saying that she ain't an O'Driscoll." Dutch grumbled. In his eyes, you'd always be an O'Driscoll. You'd have to do something pretty spectacular for him to ever see you as one of his.
"If it angers you so much boss. Why keep them around?" Micah suggested with a raised eyebrow.
"Thought they'd help us find Colm. We saw how that went down. Sure, the boy led us to their camp, but no Colm. He did apparently save Arthur's life though." Dutch admitted.
"Well that makes two of us then. She kind of saved mine." Micah said looking out across the camp.
Dutch glared at him momentarily."Did she now?" Dutch asked. Slight sacrcasm in his tone, he truly doubted you.
"Well yeah, sort of. I didn't get myself out of that cell did I? Plus she's a good shot." Micah complimented. It was rare he ever took a liking to anyone."Yeah well don't go getting too attached to that woman okay?" Dutch warned, throwing his cigar to the ground after one final drag.
"You can count on that one boss." Micah snarled as he walked off to the fire. Dutch faintly laughed as he heard Micah tease the men about missing him when they definitely did not.
Dutch thought to himself for a moment. He'd always told himself that other gangs aren't to be trusted, no matter what the circumstance...But if you're wellness and co-operation continued, he may be forced to reconsider."Kieran!" You yelled at your brother whom had his back to as you ran to him.
He swiftly turned around and smiled to see you running towards him. You greeted him with a big hug that almost sent you both tumbling to the ground.
"Hey (Y/N). Jailbreak go okay?" He asked, patting your back as he hugged you.
You both pulled away from each other as you responded."Yeah it went okay. Shot up the town but, at least I got Micah out." You explained with a nod.
"He didn't...do anything did he?" Kieran asked, almost whispering as he leaned closer to you.
