You and Micah remained at the creek for a little while before you eventually decided it was time to leave.
On the way back to camp, you decided to take a little detour to Rhodes.
As you passed the little road that would take you to camp, Micah called out to you in confusion.

"Hey! Where are you going?" He yelled after you, causing you to turn January around to face him.

"Where we are going, is Rhodes. Come on, it's still light out, let's enjoy the day." You offered with a smile.
He briefly looked down the path to camp before smirking and turning his head back to you. Kicking Baylock back into a trot. Smiling brightly, you turned January back around and continued to Rhodes.

"We can't go causing trouble, Dutch will Murder us". Micah said to you as he rode next to you as you passed the bank.

You rolled your eyes at his comment. "I'm not the trouble maker here." You teased him with a sarcastic smile which he retaliated playfully.
"Neither am I. I don't make trouble, I make money." Micah said with confidence as you both hitched your horses outside of the saloon.

"Well, tonight isn't about making money, it's about spending it. Whiskey?" You offered as you went up the steps and gestured to the door.

He smiled as he followed you up the steps, smoothly placing a hand around your waist and reaching to open the door.

"It's on me 'darlin'" he said with a smug smile.
As you went through the door, the sudden strong stench of alcohol hit you harder than you would have liked.
The saloon wasn't even that busy yet but there were still a few people coming in and at tables.

You and Micah sat yourselves down at a table and just sat for a moment before even thinking about a drink.
"Thank you." You said to him as you leaned your elbows on the table and cupped your cheek in your hand, gazing at the man sat opposite you.

He furrowed his brows in slight confusion yet smiled at you regardless.
"What for?" He responded as he too leaned on the table on his forearms, slightly closer to you.

"For coming with me today...it...it means more than you think." You admitted to him with a shy smile. Your gaze flickering from the table to his eyes, unable to keep a fixated gaze due to the rising heat under your cheeks.

"Don't thank me yet, the day ain't over. Could go awfully wrong from here." Micah teased playfully.

"I...doubt anything could ruin today, Micah." You said to him in a kind and loving tone. Truly expressing how much you cared for him.

Micah smiled at you. A genuine and heartfelt smile. The one you liked best.
You were sort of lost in each other's gaze momentarily, unaware that you were leaning closer to one another.
When your faces were but a few inches apart, Micah broke the silence.

"(Y/N)...I-" Micah went to say something when he was cut off by the back doors being burst open, causing all heads to turn to it.
Long and behold, Hosea emerged from the doors and Arthur was behind the bar, bottles and shot glasses at the ready, wearing a ridiculous outfit.

"Ladies and Gentlemen! My name is Melvin! That's my brother Fenton. He's a bit funny, but boy can he pour drinks fast. For the next thirty minutes, the drinks in this very bar, in this very town are entirely free!" Hosea announced, throwing his arms up enthusiastically.

This announcement caught everyone's attention, causing a cheer to fill the room.
"The only rule is, you gotta drink em'! So hurry up! Put old Fenton to work! Just don't make him mad. He made our mother mad, and we buried her.." Hosea finished his speech as he backed away allowing the herd of men to attack the bar. Them all Laughing at the hilarious finishing comment.
That man deserved an award for that performance. You had to prevent yourself from clapping.
