You'd come to the shoreline and finally found some Burdock root for Kieran. You'd picked up some more common bulrush as well. Since you took so long to get the herbs. On the way, you'd actually come across a charming yet extremely cocky fisherman. For some reason he assumed you were volunteering to be his bride which you definitely were not.
On the bright side, he did give you a rather intriguing map that showed different locations of large fish. Said he'd pay you for them. Hell, money is money right? The ride along the beach back to camp was pleasurable. A row boat went by and to your surprise, the man inside actually waved at you.
Coming through the shrubs into camp, you hitched January and headed into camp."Little O'Driscoll" you heard a rugged voice taunt you. Turning to the side you noticed Arthur sat on his bed with his journal open smiling at you, as if waiting for a reaction.
"Very funny Mr. Morgan." You replied playfully as you went to walk away, but were stopped as you heard a cough erupt from his tent.
Turning back around, you saw Arthur had his fist to his mouth and was hunched over.
"You okay there Arthur?" You asked him cautiously without getting too close."Yeah, I'm fine. It's just a tickle I'll be fine soon." Arthur replied as he put his journal on his table and stood. You noticed the table had been equipped with a beautiful new boar skin. Probably hunted by the man himself.
You hesitated for a moment, before quickly turning on your heel and jogging back to your tent.
Arthur watched you run off in silence as he turned to the table by his cot and examine picture frame of a beautiful young woman.
Arthur's eyes seemed to glaze over with partial sadness yet affection as he took in her beauty."Here."
Arthur turned at the sound of the voice behind him and saw you standing there, bottle in hand. Not alcohol, a tonic."What's that?" Arthur asked you as he looked down at the small bottle in your little hands.
"Medicine. I made it. It'll help your tickle. It won't help any major illness but, if it's a tickle you have, it's a tickle this will get rid of." You explained as you held out the bottle to him.
Arthur grumbled and frowned slightly at the thought of help, especially from the newbie in the camp. Then again, Arthur actually didn't look at you as weak or an O'Driscoll anymore.
"Ah, fine." He mumbled as he swiped the bottle from your weak grasp.
Though he seemed annoyed, you smiled at the fact Arthur had actually accepted your medicine."Two swigs a day, you'll be right as rain in a few days, okay?" You chirped helpfully as you titled your head in a somewhat adorable fashion.
"Thank you." Arthur thanked you as he placed the bottle on the table by the picture frame. You noticed the woman within it, she was young looking and beautiful. You furrowed your brows as you attempted to look more, however Arthur had turned around to face you.
"Who's that Arthur?" You asked like a curious child.
Arthur sighed as he turned around and picked up the frame. Briefly admiring it before handing it to you.
You were right.
She was indeed, beautiful. Her eyes seemed to beam even though this was a mere photograph."She's...she's something Arthur." You complimented the lady as you handed the photo back.
"Who is she?" You continued."A woman, I used to- still sort of care for." Arthur mumbled as he scratched the back of his neck uncomfortably.
"Ah, Mary Gillis." You replied quietly as you nodded and lowered your head in slight guilt that you knew her name without Arthur knowing.
Arthur looked at you, confused.
