"Oh, hey!" He bumped into Cas in the laundry room a week later. "I know you."
Cas looked up at the man slightly. "Oh yeah. You're.... Dean."
Dean nodded. "Did you ever find that girl afterwards?" He shifted his laundry basket in his hands, filled with rock band t-shirts and worn out jeans.
Castiel shook his head. "I did, but she was rude."
"That sucks," Dean said. Cas expected him to move so he could put his laundry in the machine, and Cas could go back to his dorm, but he lingered.
"I guess."
"I didn't know you went here," Dean changed the subject, motioning to their college.
"Neither did I."
"Cool, cool. What are you taking here?"
"Um, legal studies. I'm going to become a lawyer." Cas shifted on his feet. "You?"
"I don't really have a plan, actually. I'm taking the basics right now. Maybe get an art degree. But I'm shit at art."
"Oh." Castiel nodded. He had art class. He drew alot, but he wasn't sure of how good he was. He wondered why Dean was talking to him. Nobody talked to him, period. Well, his family, but his dad sometimes hurt him and his brothers and sisters were judgmental. He had no friends. Why was Dean talking to him?
"Well, I'll see you around sometime, man." Dean patted his shoulder and headed into the laundry room. Cas walked away quickly and went back to his dorm, threw the clothes on the bed, and jumped into his chair.
Dean didn't know it, but Cas just found a new muse.
He drew for a while, trying to capture just how Dean looked. His features were easy to remember. It was just a graphite sketch, no colours involved, but Cas wanted to use watercolours. No, paint--the man's eyes were a million shades of green. His teeth were perfectly straight.
Castiel swallowed. Dean was probably perfectly straight as well.
He fell asleep at his desk.
