Castiel took his spare to go to the library.
Of course, it was less for the reading. He was hoping he'd see Dean there. In fact, Dean was. In the corner, reading mr. perfect.
Castiel sat down beside him, in the corner of the library, on the floor. "How far are you done that?" He asked. Castiel wondered how Dean would act, considering yesterday.
"Um, halfway through." Dean coughed. It was loud this time. Really loud, and violent.
"Are you okay?" Cas asked.
Dean coughed into his sleeve. "F-fine," he choked out. He had a sip of his water. "Listen, Cas, about yesterday--"
Oh no. This was the moment of rejection. Cas had heard it a thousand times before. Plus, it was probably a mistake. Like always. Dean was clearly straight. And despite how Cas was growing to feel about him, it was too good to be true.
"--I didn't mean to catch you off guard, or take advantage or anything."
Cas furrowed. "That's it?"
Dean furrowed as well. "What do you mean, 'that's it?'"
"Well, like...I was expecting you to regret it or..."
Dean smiled a bit. "Why would you say that?"
Cas bit his lip. Dean found that endearing.
"Listen. I also don't know if you're into... ya know... because i'm not. I'm straight. But I don't know, it seemed right with you."
Cas nodded a little longer than he should've. "Um, yeah. Yes--yes, I mean. I'm not, um, that straight." Cas prayed that didn't change his opinion of him.
Dean chuckled. "Was that okay that I, uh, kissed you then?"
Cas bit his lip again.
"Would you mind if I did it again, then?"
Castiel closed his eyes and Dean brushed his lips across his. "I kind of want to be able to do this all the time," Dean whispered. "I'm sorry if this is too blunt--"
"No, I like it. I--I do." Cas says nervously, and feels Dean's breath, and smirk on his lips.
Dean pulled back. "You single, angel?"
"You don't need the pickup lines now," Castiel chuckled.
"You're right. I should've gaven them the moment I saw you."
Castiel was blushing, he knew.
"I'm going to call you my angel, now. That fits you. You like that name?"
Castiel nodded. He actually did like it. He smiled.
