Matt Vs Josh.

Chapter Thirty - Baby I was made to break your heart..

"Marry Me Ella Mathews?" A single tear slid down Josh's cheek, out from his pocket he pulled a little white velvet box, inside was a perfect Gothic black engagement ring adorned with black gem's it was perfect, Josh looked like a kid on Christmas I could tell this was 100% what he wanted, he knew me the ring was me, was everything I am, looking closer at the box engraved in a cursive font were the words.

 I love you ella

My heart melted without even thinking about it I subconsciously reached towards the box and Josh, my whole future flashed in front of my eyes in that second, children, my career, and then Josh waking up and seeing his smiling face every morning, knowing I could never love him as much as he loves me, but did that matter he was stable he was good for me, I was inches away from touching the ring my fingers brushing the air around it. 

"Ella?" My hands snapped away from the ring and my eyes located the sound, Matt was not on his feet the slightest hint of tears in his eyes, his voice pleaded with me, I looked back over to Josh, his eyes becoming wide.

"Please Ella?" Matt's voice became more pleading, his hands reaching out to me, I shuffled slightly in his direction Josh gasping at my actions. 

"Whats going on here?" This was the first time Josh had spoken in a long time, he sounded hurt, not hurt trampled on, I tried to find an answer to say something but no words came out, Josh moved to stand up leaving the ring open on the sofa beside me, both boys stood before me, two different lives, two diff rent choices. 

"You cant seriously be thinking about saying yes?" Matt angrily snarled, his head Turing to face Josh, Josh looked deflated, he looked ill like he was just going to drop down dead, guilt ripped through me and again I tried and failed to speak. 

"Why not Matt, she loves me and I love her, why does her answer matter so much to you?" Josh was genuinely interested, he had no idea. 

"Because it does?" Matt cockily replied but Josh wasn't having any of it, he squared up to Matt looking him level in the eye. 

"Because it does? BECAUSE IT FUCKING DOES, WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM?" Josh started to shout loudly and irately, Matt grabbed hold of Josh's shoulders and held him in his spot. 

"BECAUSE I LOVE HER" Josh's face dropped his arms hanging limply at his sides, he took a minute to ponder the thought. 

"Like that matters Matt, you had your chance, and you failed she doesn't love you, Tell him?" Josh was asking two questions there, he didn't even believe it for himself, I was stunned again, my head fell between my knees on the couch, I heard it, the sound of Josh's heart breaking into a million pieces, that killed me more than anything Ive ever experience in my life, more than Matt telling me he didn't feel the same say, more than Jazz, more than my dad leaving, that sound crippled me. 

"She loves me too Josh, your like a brother to me and I'm sorry to do this but, me and Ella belong together, don't we?" Matt stepped towards me, a big smile on his face, he was so sure I would pick him, so sure. 

I stood up from my seat and grabbed onto Matt's hand, Josh sh lumped into an armchair, tear's streaking his face, his heart shattering with every breath. 

"I knew you loved me" Matt moved towards pulling me into a warm hug, I smiled and then stepped backwards grabbing his hands again tighter this time. 

"Matt, I love you..." Matt's voice cut me off. 

"I love you too" I shook my head and motioned for him to be quiet. 

"Please let me finish, Matt, I love you so much ever since the first day we met you carried me home, twice, everything about you is perfect, you make me smile, you make me laugh, your there for me when I fall, but.... You keep hurting me, and I just don't know if I can stand to be hurt again, I'm sorry" Matt's face dropped instantly and I let my hands slide from his, Josh stood from his arm chair and crossed the room to me, kneeling before me again, ignoring the almost crying Josh beside me. 

"I knew it, so is this a yes?" Josh looked so happy, I smiled at him picking up the ring in my hands, I studded it for a few moments, it was perfect he was perfect, but this was just too much, I opened up his palm and placed the ring flat inside it, closing his hand around it. 

"I'm 18, I'm young Ive only ever had one boyfriend, Ive only been in love twice, this is just too much for me to handle, I love you Josh, but I need space I need time, I'm sorry" I got up from the sofa and walked towards the door, I had no idea where I was going but I needed to think, I need space. 

"Your leaving me?" I turned around to the broken Josh and Matt and shook my head. 

"I have a choice to make, and one whole week to do it in, I love you both, I know its selfish to ask and to just expect you to wait for an answer I understand if you want nothing to do with me anymore" Both the boys rose from the sofa shaking there heads side to side. 

"Please just take this week to think about it, ill still be here for you when you make your mind up, waiting right here for you" Josh smiled and sat back down on the sofa. 

"Me too Ill always wait for you Ella, Just make up your mind and then come and find one of us, I promise no matter your decision nothing will change, I cant loose you as a friend too" Josh nodded at Matt's words like he agreed, I ran up to our bedroom and grabbed my packed suitcase from earlier handy and with that I made my way down the stairs, Josh stood by the door waiting for me. 

"Think about it"  he took the locket from my neck and slid the ring onto its chain, smiling at me as he did, he fasted it back around my neck and fastening it tight, I now had everything I needed to make my decision, the locket and the ring, Matt and Josh around my neck always. 

"Do you want a lift anywhere?" I just shook my head and walked out of the door, Matt's face almost pressed up against the living room window, I dragged my suitcase down Josh's long drive way before shouting back over my shoulder to both the boys. 

"I have no idea where I'm going" And with that I made my way out of the yard, and away from the two boys who mean everything to me, but I have a decision to make, Matt Vs Josh?

AN - MUHAHAHAHA and I drag it out for another chapter because I'm mean.....at the side is how I saw the ring I even added an inscription because I'm cool like that !!! :) anyways who do you think she will choose ?!?!?!
