"Young lady, you cannot smoke on school property! Put that out at once! Your lucky I don't give you detention!" A mean, loud voice yells from behind me. Shit, a teacher.
I turn slowly, taking a puff of my cigarette. I pull it down from my mouth and by my side and come face to face with the chick.
I roll my eyes at a lady in a blue pantsuit. She stands with a hand on her hip, her eyebrows raised. She looks from me to Cameron, as she looks at him she eases up. Weird.
"Excuse me!" She yells. I blow my smoke in her face. Honestly, I meant to blow it down, but it went to her ugly face so..
She blinks madly, "in my office! Now!" she yells.
Cameron just now steps in front of me, standing between me and this lady, "woah, woah. Mrs. Monroe, Sam's new here. She's my cousin, actually.." He says, sounding more.. mature. What's he doing?
She looks shocked, "cousin?!" She asks confused, but still angry at me.
Her eyes focus on me, and then to Cameron again. "Since it is your first day, I'll let you off with a warning, Miss..." She starts.
"Sam." I say and lift my head. Can she just leave already?
"Miss, Sam," she finishes.
"Thank you so much, Mrs. Monroe. It won't happen again!" Cameron says in a begging tone. Ugh.
She walks away slowly, "if it does, there'll be trouble," she says walking away. I let out a breath when she's far away and I quickly lift the cigarette to my lips.
Cameron swats it out of my mouth, "did you not just hear the fucking principal, Sam?!" He asks as it falls to the ground.
I look at him in awe and he just stares at me, tearing at my soul. I raise my eyebrows, "fucking principal?! Shit," I say and stomp on my now dead cigarette.
I sigh and walk over to my backpack, picking it up and throwing it over my shoulder, "let's go," he says.
I follow him into the drained halls of West Ridge. Cameron stops in front of doors which appear to be the office.
"They'll take care of you from here. Meet me at my car after school. Be. Good!" He says, then disappears down the hallway. Fucking really? Leave little old Sam alone on her first day of school, okay. Great idea!
I straighten my clothes, and fix my hair outside the door. I feel stuck again. "Need something?" I hear a deep voice ask.
I turn, startled, to see a boy. He's tall, skinny, and light brunette. Wearing the same thing as Cameron. Is he talking to me?
"Uh... no." I move my feet, balancing the weight evenly, "I'm uh- just new," I add.
He smiles, "well, you go in there to get your schedule. Bell rings in about 10 minutes. You've got time," the boy says with confidence. We're standing about 2 feet apart, I notice. Jeez, why is he talking to me?
I smile, "thanks. And you are?" I ask, wanting to know this helpful, cute strangers name of course.
He snaps, "Taylor... What about you?" He asks me.
I smile and look at the floor, "Sam."
He puts out his hand, and looks down into the office doors behind me as I shake it.
"Hey, I better get going, and you better get that schedule." He let's go and we awkwardly place our hands to the side. As I said, I'm not much of a shake-hands type. "Oh and, look for me at lunch?" With that he's gone.
I can't help but smile to myself as I turn into the office.

HistoryFuck, I don't know where any of these rooms are. At my old school, I usually skipped all classes. I really fucking hate school.
I slam my locker closed and hunt for the science room. Once I find it, I dread going in. It's full of students wearing the same outfits as each other, including me. Just another girl in the crowd, Sam.
I roll my eyes as I walk into first period, getting all stares from cake-faced bitches. I keep my face straight, showing confidence.
I walk to the teachers desk, avoiding eye contact with the students. Most of them just keep to themselves and their conversations with friends before the bell. I hope I get a seat by myself.
"Uh.. Where do I sit?" I ask awkwardly. He looks up at me, then down to a paper with faces on them.
"Far back left desk, next to Gilinsky." He Says. I swallow, and make my way to the desk. I was hoping I'd get paired with a girl but it's fine.
"Hey.." I say, setting down my stuff. I notice the boy, I assume he's tall, he has mostly black hair and I'm pretty sure he has brown eyes. His eyebrows are a work of art as well. Why did I say hi?
He just glares at me like I'm an animal. Exactly why I should just be antisocial at school.
"Okay..," I mumble to myself and sit down. The teacher begins class and 50 long minutes later the bell rings it seems like ''Gilinsky'' was in no hurry to stay after class.
I've decided that he is an asshole, one of those who thinks they are too good to talk to new people. Fuck this school.
