The first few hours go by slow, maybe two with the same guy. I watch the clock until finally it's mid day. During lunch, I search the cafeteria for Taylor. I still hope he wants me to sit with him. Even though I barely said two words to him, it's either that or I sit alone..
I spot him, at one of the biggest tables. I take a breath, and think about sitting at the empty table, but he spots me and waves me over. I try not to blush as I quickly lose eye contact.
I smile at him, and his buddies. There's like one girl sitting there. I strut over, and the boys focus on me. Don't blush Sam, don't. I honesty don't even care where Cameron is sitting, probably with all the seniors.
"Guys, this is Sam. She's new, so don't give her crap." Taylor says.
I smile, and look around. A table of attractive boys. Eh. But then I see him. Gilinsky. I quickly look away, he seems more tense now that I am here. What's his deal?
"So I heard your Cam's bad ass cousin.." a blonde kid says.
I laugh, "uh - sure." I say with a light chuckle. Has word already gotten around that quickly?
They all laugh. "But seriously. What'd you do?" Asks another brunette buy, who is also equally attractive.
I smile, "I got caught with a little coke after a rave," I say. Should I really open up to them about how I do coke? On my first day? Too late.
They turn quiet, "for real?" asks the blonde.
I laugh, thinking how stupid it was to tell them but whatever. "Yeah," I mumble and stare at my food.
The rest of lunch is chill, then back to the classes. In 8th period, I sit by someone I would've never guessed.
The bitch from the mall. Blue eyed brunette. I sit down, hoping he wouldn't recognize me. What a coincidence that he would be in my grade at the exact same private school. Shit.
"Dallas' cousin huh?" He asks, staring at the desk. He has an accent I didn't notice before and his jaw is unusually clenched.
I glare at him, he laughs. What am I supposed to say?
"Look, I'm sorry about what happened yesterday.. I was in a big hurry," he explains. So he does remember..
I scoff. "Didn't mean you had to call me a bitch," I say as the bell rings.
"Look, if I'd of known who you were, I would've acted different," he says quietly.
"That's not a fucking excuse," I sass and get out a notebook, to try and ignore him.
The class goes by blurred, mostly me thinking of how tired I am, then the next thing I know, the day is over.
I take my time leaving the school, and am stopped by a teacher.
"Samantha Burns. Cameron Dallas's cousin.." Says the teacher who I think is my science teacher.
"Uh, yeah." I say slowly. I just wanna leave this fucking prison and go home, relax. Don't need to be stopped by teachers I don't know.
"He's a scholar- Cameron is going to be someone, Samantha." I roll my eyes. I'm pretty sure I already know this. I don't need people telling me what my know it all cousin is going to do.
I walk away, emphasizing it's Friday, no more school, time to party. I get to the parking lot and find Cam talking to some of his buddies. The two I dislike most, right by his truck.
I slow my pace, roll my eyes and scoff to myself and go to the passenger side. While I wait for Cameron to hop in I eavesdrop a little.
"Yeah, she was smoking and got caught by the principal.." I hear him say. It that any of those two's business? Fuckin Cameron.
"I did that once," I hear the Gilinsky one say and they laugh.
"For real, bro?" The blue eyed one says.
"Yeah.." He responds hastily. He's getting uptight again, that I'm right by them.
I see Cameron look at me, "Hey, I gotta go. We'll see ya tonight, man." Cam says and opens the door as they walk away.
He gets in and starts the car. "You know.. You don't have to tell your weirdo friends everything." I say, rolling my eyes at him, as he pulls away.
"I wasn't telling them everything." He says, mocking me.
I sigh, "whatever." Its silent for a minute.
"Oh, uh, there's a party tonight-- I didn't want you to go, but everyone else does so.." He says casually, what does he mean?
I laugh, "why didn't you want me to go?"
"Because.. You'd spy on me." He says.
I scoff, "no I wont. As long as you don't spy on me. Got it?" I say.
"Got it." He says.
"Where's it at?" I ask.
"Gilinsky's." He says.
I look at him, "ugh. I hate that guy. What's his first name, anyways?" I ask, disqusted.
"Uh... Jack. And why do you hate him?" He asks.
I hesitate, "just do."
He laughs, "well Nash is coming over in about an hour, along with some other people, okay?" He says.
I blink, "why would you have to ask me?" I say.
"Because he said he was sorry about the mall incident yesterday, I guess," He says unsure.
I roll my eyes, "so. that's his name."
He nods. We pull into the house, and as soon as I'm in my room, I'm out of my uniform.
I change into a cut off tee, and high waisted shorts (because they're super comfy) and my converses. I keep the socks on, they are comfortable and I like them.
