It wasn't long before Jennie started texting Kai throughout the days. Both of them genuinely liked each other and hoped to grow closer without their companies knowing. They had to be kept secret or else the worst would come for them and Jennie didn't want to imagine what her boss would do.

With all honesty Jennie had completely forgotten about the pain, confusion, and depressing thoughts after what she went through with Y/N. The foreigner was rarely in her thoughts and she was grateful for that.

Jennie liked it that way.

After her tiresome schedule she finally went home. She was welcomed to the concerning sight of Lisa and Jisoo whispering something to Rosé. They all went rigid at the sight of their main rapper standing on the doorway.

"We saw you win!" Lisa screeched, hopefully grabbing Jennie's full attention and diverting it from their actual conversation.

Jennie smiled, "You did? Was the performance good?"

"You were excellent," Rosé complimented her, standing from the couch towards the kitchen to grab an apple. Something was off in this house.

"Did you girls eat already?" Jennie asked, discarding her purse on one of the couches.

Lisa nodded, "Yeah, Jisoo made some breakfast for us."

Jennie furrowed her eyebrows, "But it's the afternoon."

The other tall girl shushed her, "Food is food, there's no such thing as scheduled things."

Jennie laughed and headed for her room, she needed a small nap before anything else could shock her.

Before Jennie could walk upstairs, Jisoo stopped her, "Y/N is coming back to work with us. She got scheduled to be with the group starting next week."

Jennie turned to look at an excited Lisa, and that's when she took notice of what was REALLY happening. Rosé's smug smile and Lisa's over excitement. They knew about them.

"That's great, I'm excited to see my friend again." Jennie laughed, showing one of her nervous smiles. Jisoo looked at her sternly, "Just go take a nap, we'll talk later."

Jennie rolled her eyes while sighing and walked to her room, why did everything have to pile up over her?!

She wanted to try things out with Kai, even if it meant breaking the other's heart. Deep down Jennie was selfish, selfish for wanting to cause some sort of pain and sadness in the other that she felt when she got rejected.

In retaliation for breaking her heart, she wanted Y/N to cry for her all night.

Jennie sighed and took out her phone, going straight for the contact that was recent.

She typed and sent the message with a hopeful smile, things had to go fast if she wanted to hurt the other. Hopefully, Kai agreed to go out next week.

Her fingers were drawn back from the digital keyboard and settled the phone on her little light stand.

Even though Jennie wanted Y/N to get hurt or feel sad for rejecting her she didn't want to go overboard. Kai was starting to grow fond of her and she was too, he made her feel happy and comfortable.

Maybe liking girls was actually a phase, like all those old people claimed on social media and real life. Jennie wasn't going to date Kai for revenge, she would love him, appreciate him, until both got old together.

It wasn't something Jennie could vividly picture, but it did make her feel comfort and happiness at the thought of a future where she would have a family with Kai and both would be extremely happy.

She would forget about her hateful fans, her struggling days, her tears, and Y/N. All that would be part of her past and that's it, but for now, she could only imagine or dream about it.
