Jennie was busy at the girl's dorms. It wasn't hard saying bye to Y/N mere minutes ago, they shared a warm hug and a small smooch before she could leave. Both girls made sure paparazzi weren't around so that Jennie wouldn't get snapped.

Y/N promised to be here for the other no matter what and Jennie truly believed in that.

During her times of struggles that's what she would think of, her gorgeous girlfriend ready to comfort her.

She mustered up the courage to dial Kai, hoping the man wouldn't react in a negative way. Lisa and Jisoo were quietly walking towards the kitchen grabbing some snacks before they could retire to their bedrooms.

"Hello, Jennie! Are you alright?" Kai asked and Jennie's heartbeat quickened. She was a foolish woman for continuing to date him when there was no attraction at all. Guilt washed over her and she sighed, "Kai, I feel so bad."

Her voice nearly broke and the other man on the line made a confused noise, "You're sick? Do you need someone to take you to the doctor?"

Jennie wiped away a tear and let out a nervous giggle, "N-no, I'm fine. I think I'm fine."

"Then what's wrong, love?" He asked and Jennie furrowed her eyebrows, Kai was such a sweetheart. It mentally hurt her to break up with him like this, it made her feel like the worst coward in the world.

The man who had presented himself to her was dating a dishonest woman who was afraid of coming out to him.

"Jennie," he started and the young brunette fought the urge to curse, "Kai, I can't tell you anything like this. I really need to tell you this face to face."

"Oh," was all the other said. Something so small was able to break her heart without the least bit of trying. He sounded sad and disappointed, like if he already knew they wouldn't last long enough.

The young idol knew they wouldn't be able to work this out. Chances diminished once Jennie found herself staring at Y/N the way Kai stared at her sometimes.

"I understand, once I'm free I'll tell you so we can go talk somewhere. Is that good?" Kai asked calmly and Jennie sighed relieved, the man wasn't showing signs of anger.

Still it pained her so damn much, "Yes, Kai. I appreciate it so much."

Kai smiled and Jennie hated that she could find out by the way he sounded through the phone that he seemed hurt, "Alright see you in a few weeks, I love you."

Jennie blankly stared at the floor and dried away her tears, "I love you too."
