The Angel or Devil Problem

Chapter 4

        Beomgyu was the first to get in the humans 'tub' as he called it. He was about to put shampoo in but stopped when yeonjun got in fast and grabbed his wrist. "Wait! Let's try it!" Yeonjun smiled. "Try what?" Beomgyu was confused.
      "I want to make you glow too! It looked fun." Yeonjun put shampoo in his hand. Beomgyu stopped him. They exchanged glares. "Please...I'll let you wash mine, then you'll see what devils do when their happy." Yeonjuns offer was tempting, beomgyu was curious.
      Beomgyu lowered his hands and allowed yeonjun to put soap in his hair. "You aren't glowing? You don't like it that much?" Yeonjun frowned. "Its-its just a bit weird..." Beomgyu confessed and rinsed the shampoo out, putting conditioner in himself. "Then what makes you glow?" Yeonjun questioned. "Ah-ah i let you try it's my turn." Beomgyu turned yeonjun around and put shampoo in his hair. Ah yes....now yeonjun knew why soobin glowed...it made him feel like a cat getting praise. It was so relaxing. He leaned his back to beomgyus chest and enjoyed it. Beomgyu laughed at the black smoke like substance coming from yeonjun. "What's so funny?" Yeonjun looked up at beomgyu from beomgyus lap.
     "Devil's SMOKE when they're happy???" Beomgyu laughed. "Yeah? What about it Mr glowstick?" Beomgyu stopped laughing at the name yeonjun called him. Hueningkai walked in to hand them some fresh clothes to wear and got the wrong idea.
Beomgyu winced and felt a single mark on his shoulder as soon as Hueningkai saw them.
    "Sorry...I'll just...leave the clothes here..." Hueningkai dropped the clothes and left the bathroom.
      "Whats wrong?" Taehyun asked a frazzled kai. "Nothing, glad to see the clothes fit, wheres soobin?" Hueningkai left the bathroom door to look around the room. "I'm here." Soobin came out in his new clothes. "Are they done yet? It's getting late don't you have that school thing in the morning?" Soobin asked. "Let them uh...take their time." Hueningkai laid in his bed, covering up.

     "Are you alright????? It's probably because he got the wrong idea and it's considered a bad thing in the human realm..." Yeonjun took a look at beomgyus wound. "Yeah. You're right. Let's get out and tell him so that I can get healed...." Beomgyu winced and got out, getting dressed and going into Kai's bedroom.
        "Kai...he was just trying the head massage thing not what you thought, if you continue to think that we uh...you know..then I'll get hurt. Please believe me here." Beomgyu tapped hueningkais shoulder. Hueningkai sat up to face him.
    
     "What do you mean hurt?" Hueningkai looked as beomgyu showed him the burn on his shoulder. "If a human thinks an angel did something bad, it hurts them, same for devil's doing good. " Beomgyu gave a half-hearted smile and lifted his wrists to show transparent chains.
    "WOAH WHAT??! WHEN DID YOU GET THOSE??!" Hueningkai was shocked when the other three showed their chained wrists. "All balancers have them. They chain us to our realms that's why we have dust. Devil's can't go to heaven. Angels can't go to hell. And we are chained to the rules of angels and devil's too. No bad angels and no good devil's. I know we may seem cool but our lives are not that fun human." Taehyun frowned.
    "Well...why don't you just ask to become a human??" Hueningkai looked worried for his new friends. "That's not how it works Kai...see with every accomplished balance of a human...and angel or devil gets more 'points' once you reach Maximum 'points' from the council your Halo and horns grow and you get a choice. Be reborn a human. Or retire to the court." Beomgyu explained.
     "What? Isnt heaven supposed to be fun? And hell is supposed to be bad??" Hueningkai  asked.
"Their about the same, just one can't do bad, and one can't do evil." Soobin frowned at his words. "But that's why we want to earn points! So if you could tell us...how to help you." They hinted.
     Hueningkai looked like he was lost in a sad thought. "Kai?..." Soobin asked. "I can't tell you yet. I'll help you get points but just...not right now I promise!" Hueningkai bowed apologetically.
      "You said you broke a lot of rules...what happens if you go back?" Hueningkai lifted his head to make eye contact with the balancers sad eyes.
    "Well...we would probably be killed ..." Yeonjun gulped. "I won't give your guys' marks up then! I promise! If I keep you're marks...you have to stay by me right? You're tied to me?" Hueningkai asked. He only received a confused nod from the boys. "Then why don't you just leave my problem unbalanced! You'd get to stay in the human world, and they wouldn't ever find out!" Hueningkai smiled at his new plan.
     "That...that could actually work.." yeonjun nodded, thinking. "Unless we hurt the human...the council won't get notified ..so all we have to do is NOT hurt Kai." Yeonjun shared a smile with the other balancers. "but...we still wouldnt be able to do bad things or good things." Beomgyu replied.
    "Well, if we tell Kai what we did and he doesn't think it's bad or doesn't say it's good, those little wounds should heal! It'll be tedious but it could work!"
     The balancers all shared looks of joy. "Yeah. Let's try it." Soobin agreed. Hueningkai smiled happy at the balancers putting their hands in for agreement.
   'thank you...' he thought.
