One fine morning in Planet Oneirataxia, Neptune Night’s leader, Kris woke up to the familiar buzz of his alarm clock. He rolled over in his bed and opened his eyes before they landed on his clock.
It was eight-thirty in the morning.
He sat up, stretched, and yawned tiredly but smiled brightly a few seconds later. Today is the day, he thought happily to himself, ignoring the snores that soon faded into the back of his mind. He got out of bed and got inside the bathroom, brushed his teeth and bathed, all as he went through a list in his head.
When he was done bathing and had gotten dressed, he walked out to wake the rest of his members up. “HEY, NEPTUNE NIGHT! WAKE UP!” he hollered from the entrance of the door to the bedroom. “WAKE UP BEFORE I SET FIRE ON YOU.”
Beds shook and soon thuds of people falling of bed sounded due to the sound of Kris’s rumbling voice so early in the morning. Few seconds later, five other heads popped out sleepily from the door.
“What happened?” the youngest of the group, Theodore, grumbled groggily.
He whacked him on the head.
“OW!” the poor kid yelped, waking up.
From his loud cry, the other four were instantly awoken and they hurriedly rushed out of the room, standing in a straight line, in attention outside in the living room. They certainly didn’t want to get hit on the head so early in the morning. They wanted to save as many brain cells as they could before Kris whacked out every single one of them.
Kris paced back and forth in front of them, his hands behind his back, studying the batch of people that stood before him: Theodore, still grumpy and patting his head where he had whacked him; Xavier, who was breathing in and out, filling and emptying his bun-like cheeks, Finn, whose hair stuck out in all places; Wesley, who yawned sleepily, making Theodore and Finn create a chain reaction of yawns; and Trevor, who was cutely rubbing his eyes to stay awake. He frowned, tapping his chin with one finger as he scanned through all of them in their pyjamas and sleepy faces.
Now, Theodore looked like a tall, skinny panda with dark hair and really dark rings under his eyes. But he was good at martial arts, and given the situation, anyone would think he was a scary person. But Kris knew exactly what he was, being the youngest member: a crybaby who who act cute to his advantage to get whatever he wants (this said, being Kris often as the one who falls victim to it).
Xavier was the oldest among the six of them, being only a few months older than Kris. He had light brown hair and piercing blue eyes, with fair skin. He was not skinny, and was maybe the chubbiest among them. But he was quick, his reflexes were good. Although he was the oldest, Xavier was often compared to Theodore in means of maturity. His obsessions were buns: just say that word and he will lose all common sense (not that he had much of it, anyway).
Finn was the troll, the prankster, the mastermind behind all mishaps that happened in their dorm. He loved to joke about, and given the cheeky glint in his dark, green eyes, anyone would be able to tell that this blonde-haired guy was up to no good. Kris often had to reprimand him for his behavior, but he was laidback and, well, you would probably have heard of the phrase "in one ear, out the other." That was his motto when it came to Kris' lectures.
Wesley was probably the dumb one in the group. Often blur, never quite knowing what was going on (who knows what was going on in his mind), he was usually left out in conversations, not because the others did not want to include him in, but simply because he was daydreaming. His round, hazel eyes had a look of innocence at first glance but everyone knew the brown-haired blurhead was far from innocent.
