The tube was suddenly filled with lights as its door opened. Trevor stepped outside and glanced around him. There were people walking down the streets everywhere, and cars zooming on the roads. It was too busy, no one paid any attention to him, no one even realized he appeared out of no where.

He looked at his surroundings. He seemed to be within the city, possibly in the heart of it. He looked at his watch and saw that he had an incoming call.

Ducking into a nearby restaurant, he acted like he was a customer there and went inside the men’s room. Luckily it was empty. He locked the door and pressed the button on the side of his watch. “Kris, it looks as though I’ve landed on the city side of Washington,” he said as Kris’s face appeared on the screen.

“Okay, good. Do you feel as though you’re close?”

Trevor felt this familiar feeling humming in his heart. “She’s not anywhere near,” he replied slowly, “but I have a feeling I’ll be seeing her soon.”

Meanwhile, at the other side of the city, underground, Jay stepped out of the tube and realized that he was at the subway. Huh, people were getting in and out of the train. He glanced around. His watch peeped and he hid behind an isolated pillar.

“Scott, why am I underground?” he grumbled.

Scott sighed heavily, having a feeling he was going to have trouble with Jay starting now. “I don’t know. But I do know that you’re at the heart of Washington. Now, Jay, this is very important,” he said sternly.

Jay nodded, listening, as he left and headed for the stairs — right on to the city streets where everything was alive and busy. “Wow, this is so pretty,” he gasped.

“Hey, Jay, listen to me!” Scott desperately tried to get his representative’s attention but he should have remembered that his attention span was the size of a goldfish.

Jay’s eyes landed on a movie poster. “Oh, Scott, look — Snow White and the Huntsmen!”

“No, no, Jay, you’re not —”

“Huh, it sounds interesting. Maybe I should give it a try.” He turned and spotted the nearest person he could see. “Excuse me,” he spoke in fluent English and the young man looked up to him. “May I know where I can go that has a cinema to watch Snow White and the Huntsmen?”

“See that big building there?” the young man replied, pointing to a shopping mall situated across the road from them, “They have cinema there. Snow White and the Huntsmen should be out already. I heard that the show is pretty good.”

Jay nodded politely and smiled gratefully at him. “Thank you very much, sir. Thank you for your time.” He glanced back at his watch where Scott looked pissed off. “Scott, I’m going to watch Snow White and the Huntsmen.”

“You’re supposed to be looking for your girl, not waste precious time by watching a stupid human movie like — Jay Evans!”

But Jay had already turned the watch off, making the screen go blank. Seconds later, the face of a clock appeared as though it was just an ordinary watch. Following the young man’s instruction, he walked into the mall to the cinema and bought himself a ticket to watch Snow White and the Huntsmen.

To say that Scott was infuriated was a generous understatement.

Heather’s POV

Mr. Pike passed out a letter to each student regarding the field trip. “Please give this to your parents to sign and hand it back in tomorrow,” he said, “for the field trip is this Friday.”
