Heather’s POV
After school, as soon as the bell rang to indicate the end of school for the day, I was out of my seat, on my way back home. But I was stopped when someone grabbed my wrist, swinging me around. I frowned at the person whose hand it belonged to. “Alex, what’s the matter?”
He pulled me into a hug. “How are you?” my cousin asked, his voice filled with concern. “Did Jared give you a hard time? I hope he didn’t.”
I shook my head, slightly surprised by his actions, before enveloping my arms around his body. “Surprisingly, he actually told Mr. Pike the truth about what had happened last Friday.”
He sighed with relieved. “That’s good to hear.”
I smiled, breaking free from his hug and ruffled his hair. “Walk me home?”
He smiled sadly and shook his head. “I would love to, but I’ve got basketball practice now. I’m really sorry,” he apologized remorsefully.
I hugged him to let him know it was fine. “It’s okay,” I told him reassuringly. “It’s fine. I’ll walk home myself like I always do, anyway.”
He ruffled my hair and I gave a yelp, fixing it back, causing him to laugh heartily. “I’ll come over for dinner tonight,” he promised before dashing off to the basketball court. “Text me once you’ve reached home so I know you’re safe! Bye!” He disappeared along the corridor.
It was only when I realized I need to figure out how to solve my little alien problem tonight. I groaned, heading out of the building myself. Darcy was off somewhere. That girl always disappears here and there, every now and then. I’ll never know, with her. I’ll cross the bridge when I come to it. When I rounded up the corner where Jared bullied me today — Jared was waiting for me there.
Uh oh.
“What do you want?” I asked warily, keeping a good distance between Jared and I. This can’t be good.
He smirked and all my senses told me that I should run. “Did you honestly think that I would let you get away that easily?” he taunted, stepping closer toward me.
I took a step back — and Ryan grabbed my arms from the back, trapping me. He leered at me. “What’s up, pretty thing?”
“H – Hey, l – let me go!” I stuttered, trying to break free from his strong grip. “Or else —”
“Or else what?” Jared cut through my empty threat. He took another step toward me until he was right in front of me. He grasped my chin and I flinched. He made me look up to him in the eyes. They were black, and cold. Like his personality.
He leaned down and my eyes widened “What’s your motive?” I asked him, fear obvious in my voice. “Why did you tell Mr. Pike the truth? Why couldn’t you have just let me get detention so you’ll get to do whatever you want?”
He nodded at Ryan who covered my mouth, muffling my voice. I tried to bite on his hand but they were dragging me off to some dark alley.
Shit.
Jared reached out to unbutton my shirt and I tried to scream but Ryan still had his hand over my mouth. Jared sneered at me as he opened my shirt, revealing my skin-colored bra. “Pfft,” he derided. “So lame.” But then his eyes lit up as he eyed my breasts. He leaned down and pressed his lips against my neck without warning.
“Mmm!” I screamed desperately, fear gripping my heart yet feeling disgusted to have his lips on me.
Behind me, I could feel Ryan removing my blazer and bag with one hand, dropping them onto the floor. I tried to struggle but Jared had grabbed both my arms by this time while Ryan placed his hand on my skirt’s waistband. He pulled gently, untucking my shirt. Jared crushed me to him, his lips fiercely on mine, a hand cupping over my left breast. Ryan’s hands slipped under my skirt, reaching in front of touch my thighs, moving slowly up to palm between my legs.
