Storytelling: Recognition

Himiko: So... This is that Kristal Academy my family told me about. I hope I can make some actual friends here.

Suddenly, a black haired boy with a purple shirt zoomed past, surprising Himiko.

Himiko: Ah! Who was that?!

Suddenly again, a blue haired person had just got to Himiko.

Zonid: *Panting* Goddammit Aether...
Why do you have to be so damn fast...

Himiko: (This is my chance!) Excuse me, are you okay?

Zonid: Yeah, Yeah, I'm fine. Just out of breath. Hey, are you new here?

Himiko: Yup, what's your name?

Zonid: Zonid Triluka. What's yours?

Himiko smiled.

Himiko: Himiko Mihara!

Zonid: Well, nice to meet ya. You know-

Suddenly, Zonid's eyes widen, and they grab Himiko's hand.

Himiko: Wh- Hey! What are you-

She feels a magic, different than her own. Then she notices the magic of Zonid. She couldn't believe it.

A witch.

Zonid suddenly jumps back, brandishing their wand.

Zonid: I shouldn't have let my guard down, you... your a witch as well!

Himiko: Wait!

Zonid: SHUT IT! I sensed your black magic, you are one of those ******-up black magicians! Only those who perform demonic rituals can gain access to that power!

Himiko: Please, I'm not-

Zonid: Take this! INCINERATE!

Their wand let out a blast of fire, Himiko put up a defensive spell to counter the attack.

As Himiko coughed, Zonid had used another spell, binding her arms and legs.

Zonid: Star Rocket!

Zonid's wand was pulled back and shot a glowing star at Himiko.

Himiko: Oh no, Call of the Bloodhound!

A darkness rised and took shape, glowing red. It howled, releasing it's own blast, destroying the rocket. Afterwards, it ripped the rope with it's teeth.

Zonid: Earth Terrier!

The Bloodhound shoved Himiko out of the way, as a mountain burst from the ground, impaling the dog and raising 163 feet from the ground.

Himiko: (Why does this have to happen?! I just wanted to be a normal girl, but I can never get anything good to happen to me!) Darkness-

Zonid: I won't let you! DIVINE MOON BLADE!

A magical circle appeared, summoning a massive blade which Zonid took and smashed Himiko with.

Zonid: *Panting* huff... That took alot out of me... But she's-

Suddenly, Himiko rose from the shadows, a hand placed on Zonid's chest.

Zonid: ?!?!
...Goddammit. Never thought I would go out this way. You got me, finish me off...

Himiko sighs.

Zonid: What? Thought I would be more of a ******* challenge?

Himiko: Will you just listen?

Zonid: Hell if I'll become one of you!

Himiko: I'm not one of them!

Zonid: ...Excuse me?

Himiko explains to Zonid about how her family forced her to kill, how she unwillingly accepted these powers, and how she longs to just be normal.

Zonid: The Parthena family... That's one of the most sadistic, infamous family of Black Magicians I've heard of.

Himiko: I'm afraid what they'll do to me if I tell them I no longer want to be a part of the family...

Zonid: Hey. Chin up.

Himiko looks at Zonid.

Zonid: Whatever happens, I'll be there to help you. Your a nice kid. You shouldn't have to be forced to do this.

Himiko cries a tear of happiness.

Himiko: Thank you, Zonid.

Meanwhile, in the depths of a swamp.

A woman walks up to an older one.
"What did you call me here for, Mother?"
"It appears that Safira has met another witch in that School I sent her to."
"Wait, what?! She'll be suspicious of our family line!"
"I think your forgetting what we do to young magic casters, my child."
"Oh yes. I was thinking, should we give this one's magic entirely to Safira? I want to teach our little one greatly, and make her the best Parthena there ever was and ever will be."
"That is a good idea. We shall make preparations tomorrow."

"Tomorrow night, the ritual shall begin."

And I'm leaving this on a cliffhanger!
