Backstories: Shado Shadow

Long ago, in the young days of Star Island there were two groups, The Kristal Krew and The Nightmare Army.

Today we'll be focusing on the Evil side.

It was a day like any other.

Nightmare, the leader of The Nightmare Army was sitting on his throne, bored out of his mind.

"Dr. Unknown, reports on the Shadow Minions sent out to annihilate those pesky Kristal Farts."

Dr. Unknown, Nightmare's left hand man, brings up a report.
"Like usual, Sir. SM #22098, crushed by Emma, SM #66037, incinerated by Foxen, SA #333, disintegrated by Inom, and VR #12, totally obliterated by J."

Nightmare growled and pounded on his chair arm.

"GODDAMMIT! Those stupid children always kill my Minions, and get in the way of my plans!"

A Shadow Minion came up to him with a plate with Shadow Juice. "Excuse me, Sir, but did you say killed? I thought we only get hurt and the Shadow Machine regenerates-"

Nightmare sighs, grabs the cup and drinks it as he crushes the Shadow Minion in his hand.

"Should I add him to the fatality report, Sir?" Dr. Unknown asks.

"Nah, he'll just be revived in the Shadow Machine anyway."

"Remind me again why we alter their memories again?"

Nightmare looks at him unimpressed, "Really? It's so they don't betray us, knowing that they'll die if they go out to fight them."

-Meanwhile...-

In the Training Room, multiple Minions tried their luck in knocking down SJ, Nightmare's right hand man.

A Shadow Storm waits by the side, knowing he wouldn't be able to do such a thing.

He looks to the door as Nightmare walks in with a weird looking Shadow Minion.

"You." He points at the Shadow Storm. "Make yourself useful, and train with him."

The Shadow Storm eyes the Shadow Minion. He looks back at Nightmare, who had just left.

He looks back at the Shadow Minion.
"So, what are you? You don't look like a typical Shadow Minion."

"Me? I'm a Shadow Minion 2.0! King Nightmare created me to increase normal Shadow Minion strength!" He said excitedly.

'Created?' Shadow Storm thinks. "It looks like you are just a child however. Certainly different from the rest of them." He says.

"Hey, uh, what's your name?"

"Huh? I'm a Shadow Storm, obviously."

"No, I mean like your actual name."

"Oh." Shadow Storm sighs, "Nightmare deems those unnecessary, none of us has names."

"Hm." The Shadow Minion thinks for a moment. "Then I'll give you a name!"

"Huh?" He looks at him surprised. "I mean, it would be nice I guess."

"I know! You can be Sanda!" He smiles. "Now mine!"

"Uh, ok. You can be..." Sanda tries to think of something simple, "How about Shado?"

"Okey doke!"

Sanda smiled. Things were going to become better around here.

Suddenly, a voice echoes throughout the castle.

"It is time for battle you imbeciles! I want Shadow Alpha #1128, Shadow Minions #9936, #6189, and #7733, Shadow Storm #4, and finally Shadow Minion 2.0 #1." Nightmare shouts. "All report to the balcony."

Sanda sighs, "That's us, let's go little buddy."

Shado looks at him, shaking, "We... Won't die, right?"

Sanda pats him on the head, "Don't worry, if we sustain too much damage, we'll be teleported to the Shadow Machine to be healed."

Shado sighed in relief. "Phew, I was worried there.

-At the battlefield.-

"Sooo..." Shado scratches his head. "We just wait?"

"Yup."

"Hey, you."

Shado looks at the Shadow Alpha.

"I heard about you, you are Nightmare's proud creation! You are pretty lucky, being created by Nightmare himself." He praises Shado.

"Thanks I guess?" Shado shrugs.
