Chapter 14

Cheryl: When you walk through a storm

The Angel of Death had once more come to Riverdale. Midge Klump's gruesome murder had gutted the entire town, and in grief brought us together..
We all gathered at Midge's funeral crying, hugging, holding hands and putting roses on top of the casket. How it happened no one knows, a lot of people suspect others and others suspect them. Reggie holds my hand as I weep a little knowing the girl for a while and being her teammate. We will be taken into questioning on who dunnit, I don't suspect anyone from the play only the other citizens of Riverdale, who would have a grudge against a teenager.
"B.J Do you remeber what the last thing you said or saw of Midge?" Sheriff Keller asks me "I remeber patting her on the back in the dressing room telling her good luck and that she was gonna nail the part. She told me thank you and left to her own dressing room, that was the last I'd seen her." I tell sheriff honestly he could tell I wasn't lying and let me off the hook.
Cutting back to the funeral
Cheryl: You'll never walk alone
"I also feel it is my duty to say that... Like the furies of the Ancient Greece, who ceaselessly pursue blood atonement when a crime's been committed, the Vixens and I vow that we will not rest until those responsible for the murder of our sister... is rightly punished." Cheryl explains to all of us signaling that the funeral is over Reggie walks out with me to his car "Do you want to grab some Pop's... take our minds off things?" He asks me I smile at him "Of course Reggie that would be sweet." I tell him he smiles and opens the door for me and shuts it once I'm in side. He runs around the car to his side and opens his door and quickly gets in. Starting the car quickly too considering it's near freezing outside after it snowed a ton, he puts the heater on low since it was blowing cold air, he picks my hand up and kisses it. "Shall we?" he asks I smile with a tiny laugh "We shall." I tell him, he puts the car in drive and we head off to Pop's for a bit
When we get to Pop's we see the "Four core" there sitting at a table I bet Jughead is trying to get to the bottom of all of this, like usual. We head inside and open the door catching their attention, I give them a small smile and Reggie takes my hand and leads me to our usual table. We sit down and Pop comes on over to take our order "B.J, Reggie so nice to see you two! I take it you want the usual?" He asks with a happy smile "Yes that would be wonderful Pop." I tell him giving the same smile back I turn to back to Reggie he grabs my hand and gave me a sourful smile "If you were in Midge's place I don't know what I would do." Reggie says I let out a small tear "I will not ever leave your side Reggie." I tell him he smiles and kisses my cheek "I love you so much B.J" He tells me that's the first time he's ever said I love you to me my eyes go wide "I love you too Reggie." I tell him cuddling up with him.
After Pop's with Reggie he drops me off back home and instead of sitting alone at home I haven't paid a visit to the bar recently so I plopped on my Serpents jacket on and went outside to start up my bike and zip to the bar.
Getting there I park where I usually park and walk inside, everyone stops and stares haven't seen me in while. "Hey." I say waving my hand awkardly everyone keeps doing what they're doing and I make my way to the bar "Haven't seen you in awhile." Toni says I look up from sitting on the bar stool "Yeah, I know everything has been so hetic lately I've missed coming here." I tell her she smiles "Glad to have you back B." She says sliding me my usual drink I down it quickly and smile at her "So how have you and Cheryl?" I ask her, her smile becomes even wider with the name "Cheryl" "We are good actually, things are going pretty smoothly lately and I think she's finally coming around to the fact that I'm Serpent, she says she misses being friends with you." Toni says grabbing my hand and smiling I look into her eyes to look for the seriousness and she is serious "I miss Cheryl too, but I think we do better just being teammates you know." I explain her she nods understanding "Anyways what about you and Reggie?" She asks I smile and blush looking down at my hands "We are actually really good he told me he loves me for the first time, at Pops after Midge's funeral after he said he'd never want to lose me." I tell her she smiles knowing her best friend maybe actually found a guy worth being with "That's great I can tell he really loves you and he treats you so much better than the other boys you've been with.." She says with a soft smile "Thank you Toni that means a lot coming from you." I tell her "It's getting late, and I have to meet Reggie at Pop's for a bit for our campaign and help him with some of his math homework." I say getting up and throwing some money on the table "Okay, good bye B!" She yells over the loud music and waves I wave back and walk out the door to the parking lot. I walk over to my bike and start her up and start going towards Pop's, I see the parking lot up ahead and zip on in. Parking next to Reggies Chevy and turning off my bike and making my way inside I open the door and the bell rings, I see Reggie's head pop up instantly seeing who it was, he smiled instantly seeing that it was me "B.J!" He said happliy waving me over I gladly went over and sat down. Seeing that he already ordered my food for me I took a sip of my milkshake "Thank you for always ordering." I tell him kissing him the cheek "You're always welcome." He says smiling "Now let's get down to business, ideas for changes?" I ask him he laughs "Always getting down to business, changes. I like your southside ideas since I know how much they mean to you, I have some for the Northside, like better funding for the arts, lunchs and just regular school supplies to people who can't afford those simple things." Reggie explains to me "I like it I like, I love the school supplies idea we could make it a little drive like Toys for Tots." I explain he smiles at my support, nothing could be better than this
Some prisoners aren't bound by chains or locked in cells. Archie's prison was built with his own ambition and rage. And he'd jut handed Hiram Lodge the keys...While across town, the past was proving to be a cruel jailer. To the Coopers who are just as messed up as the rest in this hick town of Riverdale... And in a small diner eating burgers and drinking milkshakes, laughing and smiling with the one she loves, finally feeling like a real Teen. Unbeknownst her that the past is going to come back for sweet revenge on her daily life.
