Chapter Six

"Nepeta get the fuck off of me now... Please." Nepeta, the girl that had tackled Karkat when he got through the door slowly gets off of him and helps him up, surprised he said please. "Karkitty are you ok?" He grunts as he fixes his ruffled sweater and looks around at everyone. "I'm fine, just not feeling very well. Alright who planned this without my fucking permission first?"

"Me, thought it be cool since its your birthday." John steps forward and gives him a hug. "Its been a long time Karkat, we thought that doing this would get you to finally talk to us. To stop avoiding us you know." Karkat groans and pinches the bridge of his nose.

"John fucking egbert I haven't fucking talked to you nooksniffers because I'm working two thinkpan damaging jobs that take up ninty fucking six percent of my time. The rest goes to me fucking sleeping." Karkat could feel John tense a bit as he let go of karkat and backs up. "I also have my second fucking shift in three hours." Jake comes in and wraps his arms around the both of them and smiles.

"Come on mate, just spend an hour and a half with your ok Chums. Just a hour and a half alright." Karkat really didn't want to get attached to them again but if it means them getting out of what's left of his life then he will do it. Karkat spent the next hour and a half finding out what's been going on. He found out that nepeta and Equius ended up becoming more then Morails and that Gamzee and Tavros ended up getting married.

Vriska and Terezi ended up becoming a thing and became a science teacher and a lawyer. Sollux and Eridan started dating as well, going from black to red quickly. John and Jake were getting married soon and Jade was now in the secret ops working with technology. Feferi and Aradia became marine biologist, working out in the field most of the time and Kanaya and Rose are to be wedded next year. Things seemed to be going well with them.

Time went quickly and people were starting to leave. The last person out was John. He was holding the glass jar karkat used to save up for radiation treatment. "Karkat what is this jar for?" Karkat snatches it from him and sets it down, glad he didn't put a label on it

Dont touch it you fuckass! Knowing you you could fucking shatter it on accident. Its a jar for money, I put some in and save up in case I fucking need it some day." John just stared at it for a little before taking out a hundred from his wallet and dropping it in. "Happy birthday Karkat see you later."

With that he was gone, closing the door behind him. Karkat ended up getting ready for work, cleaning up as best as he could. When Karkat got back Dave wasn't there. Guess he had to DJ early tonight which was fine with him. Karkat went straight to bed when he got home.

Getting out of his work clothes, showering off and hopping into bed as he falls asleep, hoping that he will have better sleep tonight. He got a few more hours then normal but still woke up coughing. He was just glad it wasn't as bad as before. Hoping it won't be that way for a while.
