Lost Angels Wish

Earthquake

I was scared... Calcifer had been going on about 'escaping' for a while, then he left to do something. I'm not sure how I was transported to that cold room with the tazor man without noticing. I should have noticed. The fact that I didn't, means I wouldn't know if the mans were taking me somewhere while I slept. They could kill me and I wouldn't even realize it.

What could escape be like? I've never been outside. Kevin said that the sun is outside. I'd like to see it, that sun he was talking about. I wonder what color it is.... Calcifer said he'd show me colors one day. I looked around my room. White. All white. Every wall was white. I hated white. My hair was white, or blonde, as Calcifer said. Blonde must mean white. I hated white.

I went to my pile of blankets and lay down. I was just too scared, to scared to do anything...

The room was to shaking. WHAT, I thought. That had never happened before. I could hear some of the mans yelling "earthquake!" I didn't know what an earthquake was.

Calcifer flew into the room. "ANGEL! we have to get out of here now! The roofs gonna cave in-"

the ceiling collapsed.

I ducked out of my room just in time to see the only home I had ever known, be destroyed. But now, I was alone.  I couldn't see Calcifer anymore, and I couldn't go back in my room. The facility was still shaking. I didn't see any mans. All I could do was run down the hall, hoping to find someone.

I ran. Despite my small stature, I was pretty fast. I had to doge falling prices of ruble, and try not to get hurt anymore then I already was. As I was running I herd someone calling.

"Help...." The voice was small "help! Is someone there? My leg is caught! I'm bleeding! Help me please! it sounded like Kevin...

I ran to the source of the voice, and eventually found Kevin. Both his legs were stuck under a big piece of celling. "Hello? Who's there... Angel? Angel your ok!" Kevin said.

I looked at him worried. Red liquid was pooling around his legs. "Oh, that? Its nothing, its fine..." He said wincing. I touched the red liquid. It stuck to my fingers. "Eww, don't touch it. That's blood..." He said. I looked at it curiously. I stuck my finger with his blood on it in my mouth. It tasted good.

"Please don't do that." Kevein said again "that's really creepy, and it makes me feel like your gonna go all psycho and eat me or something... You won't, right?" He said eyeing me worriedly. I quickly shook my head.

I was going to sit down next to him, but I slipped. I fell in his pool of blood. The feathers on my wings immediately soaked up a majority of the blood, dying them red. I got quite a bit on my cloths to. I also got some in my eye. I tried to wipe it away, but only succeeded in reddening my eyes further.

Kevin helped me wipe my eyes clean. "You look like an angel of death now..." He said "will you help me journey into the next life?"

The facility finally stopped shaking. Kevin took my hand and looked at me. "Will you-"

"SSCCRREEAACCHH!!!!" A horrible scream sounded.

Oh no. The experiments. They got out. A huge five legged creature was running towards Kevin and me. I watched it approach, frozen with fear. I could hear Kevin screaming for me to get away, to save myself but I couldn't move. Why, I thought, dose it want Kevin? He didn't do anything. The other man's did. The five leg thing should go get THEM, not Kevin.

That made me feel.... Weird. I had never felt this way before. But I knew what it was. I felt mad. Anger. Disgust. I was feeling so angry, everything in my vision went black.

When my vision returned, I was on the floor. I stood up, to my left was the course of the 5 leg creature. To my right, was Kevin. He was staring at me. But he looked scared. I started to walk towards him.

"NO!! NO!! STAY AWAY!! STAY AWAY!! DEMON!! KILLER!! FREAK!! GET AWAY FROM ME!!!" he screamed wile backing away.

Demon? Killer? Freak...? I had herd things like that from the mans, but never Kevin... I felt tears pooling at my eyes. I sniffed a bit.

"Kevin?....." I said "why...."

"NO, NO!! GO AWAY!! YOU MUTANT FREAK!!!" he screamed again. Kevin's legs were broken, but free. He dragged him self away from me and disappeared around a broken corner of the hall.

I sat down, and sat in the same place for a long time, tears streaming down my cheek. My wings flopped to the ground, heavy from the blood they had soaked up. I still did not move. The celling could have fallen on me and I wouldn't have cared. Kevin hated me, and I didn't know why.

Splash I herd a sound. I didn't bother to look and see what it was. I didn't care. Calcifer stepped in front of me. But something was different. He wasn't transparent. He came up to me and hugged me. He wasn't a ghost.

"I'm not crying...." I said "I'm totally not crying..."

"Its OK Angel, let it out." He said, griping me tighter.

Crying even harder now, I screamed. I screamed as loud and as long as I could. Calcifer let go of me. He slowly became transparent again, and floated away saying "don't worry, I'll come back, my sweet Angle..." I reached my hand towards where he disappeared. He was gone.

"Over here, I herd it!" I herd a man say behind me. I herd them crash through the wall. They shined a light in the big hall I was in. I turned my head to look at them. A few of them shrieked in surprise.

I must look horrible, I thought. With my tear streaked face, and blood covering the rest of me. I tried to stand up. I did, but immediately felt dizy. I took a few steps back, before falling over. My eyes closed to the fear filled faces of the mans, staring at me in horror.
