Stupid, stupid, stupid......

Who's that? I wonder. It doesn't sound like Calcifer..... Who could it be? What happened?... I need to stop losing consciousness. Wait, I fell of a cliff. Holding, holding that strange girl. Is the voice hers? Oowwwww. My wing hurts...

Hey, you up yet? I could just leave you here, ya know. It'd be easier than baby sitting.....

I opened my eyes, and saw her sitting next to me she looked really annoyed. Was that my fault? She saw that I had woke up, and sighed.

"I hope you realize, I'm not normally this nice. The only reason I didn't leave you for dead, was cause you took a bullet for me, k?" She said staring into my eyes. I didn't answer. "OK?" She said, expecting an answer.

"ok..." I said

She looked at me weird "great...... I can see you'll be no help at all in an ambush. You're just dead weight... Gaahhh!! But I can't leave you here, without my conscience dying!!" She said, clearly conflicted on weather or not to abandon me.

"Where are we?" I asked

"where? the forest duh haven't you ever seen forest? Its basic knowledge." She said.

"I've never been outside. How do you sleep if the sun is always out? Wouldn't it be hard?" I asked.

"You're kidding right?" She looked at me "oh god, your not kidding. Seriously, never? How could you have never been outside before, is that even possible?" Her eyes were starting to look a bit kinder. "You must be hungry, I found some apples." She tossed me an 'apple'. "Its no steak, but it'll keep ya goin a while." She said wile biting into it.

I stared at her in confusion. What was she doing? Why did she bite it? Didn't the apple hurt?

She saw me staring "what? You're looking at me like I'm eating a puppy." Her eyes widened in surprise "have you never eaten before? sure we always got weekly injections that contained all the nutrients our body needed for a week, but you must have eaten before, right? can't you remember that?"

I shook my head. She looked shocked. "Oh!  you poor deprived child! How could you live without food? Ice cream, steak, candy!!" She paused "you don't know what water is either, do you?" She asked.

"No..." I said.

She nodded, and then looked at me like I was a bug "Wait a sec.... How do you know English!? I know cause I learned it from the dudes at that prison, how do you know it?" She leaned in close to my face "are you a spy?"

"What's English? And what's a spy?" I asked, backing away from her.

"Ok, there's no way your a spy." She said sighing "No spy trained by THEM could look that cute..." She smiled at me. "OK, well. This is food." She held the apple up for me to see. "An apple, is a kind of food. See the tree above us?" She pointed at the canopy of green above. "Well, apples come from trees. The trees baby's are seeds. The apple part is to protect the baby seeds, baby trees. The tree wants us to eat the apple part, and burry the seeds."

I stared at her in horror. Bury them? They would die! She saw my expression. "Wait no, the seeds need to be buried. See how the tree is stuck in the ground?" She said. I nodded, unsure where this was going. "Well, the seed could get eaten by something if it isn't under ground. It goes under ground, and when its ready, it becomes a tree and gets big and tall! Then it drops more apples for us to eat! Ok?"

I was skeptical, but nodded. I bit the apple. And immediately spit it out in surprise. It was so weird! The girl looked at me "yea, ya kinda need to swallow it...." I bit it again and chewed and swallowed. I ate the whole thing. Except the seeds. I buried them a few feet from the tree. The girl saw me do in it and smiled again.

"So kid, you got a name?" She asked.

"A-"

"No of course you don't.... Who would have given you one? Um.... Is Angel alright?" She asked

"I have a name...." I said.

"Oh? Do tell, do tell."

"Angel" I said.

"Really? So I guessed it right?" She asked

"Yes" I replied

"Cool! I don't have a name yet, but the first human I see, Ima have her name me!" She said proudly. "Its getting dark, wanna sleep in that tree?" She pointed to a rather large tree. In stood up, and almost fell over because of my injured wing. The girl helped me climb the tree, and we lay down next to each other. "Its nearly winter... This will conserve heat." She said as she cuddled up against me. "Oh, and one more thing, I'm a wolf\fox." She yawned "don't know which yet, but I'll figure it out one day...." She fell asleep.

It was so quiet now. This girl was really loud. I smiled. But my smile turned into a frown. Where was Calcifer? I hadn't seen him all day.... I hope he's OK, I thought. The sun was gone, and to replace it, a large round site circle appeared. Its a baby sun! I somehow new its name. Moon. How did I know that? Maybe my memories were slowly coming back... I'm just not sure.
