Lost Angels Wish

Snow

"Umm... On an adventure?" Yuki looked confused. "Honestly, I never thought I'd even get to go outside again....."

"What do you mean?" Alice asked

"Well, me and angel were locked In a non human prison for our entire lives, angel lost all memories except for the last few years." She said, stuffing her hands in her pockets. It was getting dark. "You wanna go find a tree or something to sleep in tonight?" She asked us. I nodded.

"Wait.... What? Prison? Why?" Alice asked As we were walking.

"Just because we weren't human. They didn't need any other reason. Selfish baa-" Yuki looked at me "aaad people...." She finished. "Why were you in a closet?" Yuki asked Alice, turning to her.

Alice looked at the sky and sighed. "I don't wanna talk about it right now..... Maybe never... Please don't ask." She said.

Yuki dropped the subject. We continued in silence. Calcifer had run off somewhere, but I wasn't as worried. I knew he'd come back to me, he promised. I heard a strange noise. I was walking behind Yuki and Alice, so I thought, hey I could just go see what it is then come right back!

I left them, and wandered around. As I was wandering, I bumped into someone. They spilled a wet sticky liquid on me. I fell on the floor. I tried to wipe it out of my eyes, but it hurt to open them.

"Oh jeeze kid, so sorry!" Someone said "well, there goes my soda...." He handed me a napkin, and I wiped the soda out of my eyes. I looked around. I had wandered into a park, I was near a fountain.

"You OK?" The man who spilled soda on me said. I nodded. "What's your name kid?" He asked me.

I wasn't sure what to say. Should I answer? Should I run? He held out his hand to me. He helped me stand up, and shook my hand. "Again, I am sooooo sorry about that...."

I tried to smile and nervously walked away. I tripped and fell into the fountain next to me...... I gave a tiny squeak as I fell. The water was really cold. I immediately surfaced, gasping and shivering. 3 people stopped by me and helped me out. I was shivering so much my teeth chatted. I sat on the fountain edge and they gave me a coat. The coat helped, but I was still cold.

One of them sat down next to me "hey, are you all right? I've never seen anyone trip into a fountain before... Ha." He sighed "um, what's your name? I'd be easier then calling you kid, or something....." I tried to speak, but my teeth were chattering too hard. I pulled the coat around me tighter.

I was so tired. I stood up, and gave them back their coat. Then I walked away. I couldn't walk right, because I was shivering so hard. "Hey! Kid! Wait, you can, um, come to my place if ya want..." The guy with the coat said awkwardly. I shook my head. He looked at me like I was crazy. "But, you'll freeze!" He said.

I continued walking off, running a bit. He followed me, but after a wile, I lost sight of him. It was so cold. I just kept walking. My steps were slowing. White drops began to float down from the sky.... I knew what they were. Snow. They were so pretty.... My steps came to a halt. There were no people around. The sky was dark, but The moon was so big tonight. It lit up the entire floor of whit snow. It sparkled beautifully. I don't remember how, but I ended up on the floor. I must have fallen. Laying in the soft white snow. I closed my eyes. It wasn't cold anymore......

When opened my eyes, it wasn't cold. It was a strange warm feeling. The sky was grey, it must have been early morning. I was covered in snow. My body was slow to move. I sat up, and looked at the sky. I heard a screech, and a car honk. I looked behind me. There was a car, not 2 feet from my face. I was in the middle of the street. The car honked. It continued to honk. I wasn't sure what to do. My brain wasn't working right. The driver of the car came out and yelled at me.

"Darn kid!! I'm gonna be late for work! Get your butt out of the road!" He looked mad. I stared at him blankly. I slowly stood up. "Well get going!" He said. He pushed me a tiny bit. I fell over. I lay there in the street. "You're cold as ice!" He said shocked. I turned so I was laying on my back, looking at the sky. It was so beautiful. The snow fell, coming from a wispy grey sky.

"Isn't the snow pretty?" I said quietly to the angry man. He looked at me like I was crazy.

"Yes, it is. Aren't you cold?" He said.

"I was..." I replied in a still quiet voice. "But not anymore, its warm now.... Its so warm.... He He He...." I said smiling. I could barely move my body anymore. It was so warm, so warm..... He he he he....

"Hey, how long have you been out here, its freezing!" He said, realizing this wasn't a prank.

"I don't know....." I said slowly "since last night? I fell in a fountain.... The water was so cold.... But now its warm....." I said, feeling. I started breathing heavily. I was still tired. I closed my eyes again.

"Hey, hey!" The man looked worried. Another man walked up behind him.

"There a problem sir?"he asked.

"Yes, officer. I'm driving to work, and there's this random kid lying in the snow! She said she's been there since last night." The angry man said.

The officer suddenly realized I was there "she's as pale as a ghost! How did you see her in the road?" He asked.

"She sat up. Can you move her? I need to get to work." Angry man returned to his car. The officer dragged me to the sidewalk. I still felt warm. The angry man drove away.

"What's your name, kid? Why were you out in the snow." He felt my cheek "oh my Gosh, you're freezing to death!" He exclaimed.

I shook my head. "No..... Its not... Cold..... Its warm...... Soooo warmmmm....." The officer looked worried. Why? I wasn't cold, I was fine. He didn't need to worry. He set me on a bench, and said "wait here, don't move." I didn't, I just sat there.

I saw Calcifer. He was on the other side of the street. He saw me, and rushed to me. He was in ghost form. "OHMYGOSH ANGEL!!" he yelled. "What happened!? Your almost frozen!!" He sounded so worried.

"Its fine Calcifer, I'm not cold...." I said to him. "Its really warm...." Calcifer grabbed my hand. He was solid.

"Angel, come on. Let's go see Yuki and Alice." He said softly. I nodded. I couldn't walk anymore. My legs went working. Calcifer picked me up, and gave me a piggy back ride.

As we were walking away, I saw the officer back at the bench. He was looking for something. For me? He saw me and Calcifer just as we turned a corner. Calcifer continued walking, until we got to a forest. He entered, and when we we're a little ways in, he started climbing a tree.

When we got high enough, he stopped. He went into a mess of branches, and I saw Yuki and Alice strangling each other. "Stupid dog! If you weren't talking so loud-" "soulless brat!! You weren't listening either!!!" They argued.

Ahem. Calcifer grunted. They both looked at him. "Angel!!" they both shrieked. "Get out, she needs to change!" Yuki yelled at him. He shrugged and left. Yuki and Alice helped me out of my frozen clothes, and redressed me in much softer one's.

They lay down next me, and Alice said "well, because I'm a robot I have internal heating. So, if you get cold, tell me." She said.

Yuki smiled "well, I guess you are useful after all. Now shut up. I'm tired. Spending all night aimlessly wandering the city wasn't the best of plans....." Yuki said. I herd a faint snoring from them both after a few minutes.

I couldn't sleep though. I herd the officer. He was calling for me "kid! Hey kid! Where are you? Your gonna freeze!" He sounded worried. I didn't want to wake up Yuki and Alice, so I didn't move. I just lay there, listening to his pleading Cry's.

Calcifer was laying across me, Yuki, and Alice like a blanket. I let out a small laugh. He was warm. So were Yuki and Alice. I just lay there staring at the sky, waiting for them to awake.....
