"YUKI!! YOU BLUNDERING IDIOT!! YOUR TORE MY ARM OFF!!!!" I yelled at her as I ran. She stopped and looked at my arm. She shrieked and dropped it. I picked my arm up. Well... This had never happened before...
"You can take out your arm!?" Yuki said, suprised.
"No!! No I can't!! You, you pulled it out!!" I said frantically.
Yuki put her hand on my shoulder and spoke softly. "Hey, its alright. Your like a super genius. You can totally fix this! And even if you can't, we'll find someone who can. OK?" When she wanted to she could be very soothing. Sulking, I let her lead me out of the mall.
She walked me back to Alexanders house, I told her where it was. I positioned my arm so it looked still attached, and hopefully no one would notice it wasn't on.... We were a long way away, so it took a while to get back. She dropped me off and said she was going to go back to the redfaced guy from before house so he wouldn't call the cops on her for missing. She dashed off on all fours under the cover of night. If yuki ran on all fours, she could go 50 miles per hour. Which made no sense, but whatever.
I saw Alexanders car was in the drive way. It was about 8. Yuki said she'd drag me to the mall again, and angel to, tomorrow. Then we could decide what to do.
The door was unlocked. I carefully opened it and stepped inside. The lights were on, but it looked like no one was home. Julie walked out of the kitchen and saw me. Her eyes buldged. Well, I did look horrible. I looked like I had gotten into a fight. Well, actually that was what I did. I silently pleaded with her to stay quiet, but....... Revenge.
"Al!! She's back!! Creepy girls back!!!" I meantaly kicked myself for not just climbing through a window.
Alexander ran in. He yelled angrily "Oh my gosh!! Where were you!?! I was really worried!! Alice!! Look at me!!"
"Alice!! Look at me!!" Alex yells. I look at the floor. "Where were you?!" He says.
"Mmm..." I hum uncomfortably. "I'm sorry.... Alex...." I mumble.
Alex calms down "OK, but just tell me where you were. I thought the town had dragged you off to burn you at the stake or something! And you know you can't go outside unless I'm with you. Please tell me?" He asks.
I nod. "Well, I saw a pretty butterfly... It flew in through the window! He flew around and then left, so I followed him!" I say happily.
Alex sighs "Alice, you are so... " he stops and giggles. "Well, next time you see the butterfly tell me, and we'll follow him together, OK?"
I nod. "OK! We'll go together!!"
He smiles and pats my head. "Yep, Alice. We'll Always be together, because I'll protect you." He hugs me, and I smile brightly while burying my face in his chest, feeling his soft scarf hanging from his neck.
I almost fell over because of the familiarality of the situation. I stumbled and stood back up. "Where were you?" Alexander demanded, tapping his foot.
I looked away from him. "With Yuki..." I mumbled, still holding my arm in place. It looked like I was clutching a wound. Which I kinda was, considering MY ARM FELL OFF.
"The girl who pushed you in front of a car? Even if it was an accident like you say, that is still really dangerous! I don't tink you should hang out with her...." He said.
Not be with Yuki? Well she is a jerk, but.... She's also my... Can't believe I'm saying this.... Yuki's my, my friend. But I will never admit that out loud to her! And, Yuki and Angel had saved me from the dark closet I never expected to be free of... "But she... She saved me from the dark...." I started.
"Saved you from the dark? Are you scared of the dark? Your so depressing I'd have thought you like the dark!" Julie said.
I gave her a death glare. How could she understand? I was fine with dark, just not pitch black. To much black would drive anyone insane. "Julie, don't. So Alice, you spent the day with this Yuki? You say she saved you from the dark? How?"
"They saved me from the darkness inside myself." I said quietly. Julie reached for me so I backed up. I must have looked like a corned and wounded animal.
"So you were depressed? Were you suicidal?" Julie asked.
I did not think that this girl had a heart. or if she did, it was black and shriveled with hate for anyone besides her family and close friends. I was going to do something so horrible to her. I should ask Yuki for advice.
I turned to Alexander. "If she wakes up one day bald or covered in snakes or something, you can't blame me." I told him.
He tried to keep a straight face, but burst out laughing at the outraged look on Julies face. I smirked slightly. "OK, ok, enough laughing... Heeheehee... OK! No more! So um... Alice, right, why are you holding your arm like that.
Crap
"Because of reasons..." I said.
"Alice, seriously."
"Alice, seriously." Alex says. "You tried to make the dog fly because of reasons?"
I nod. "He looked sad on the ground." I say. I had tied dead pigeons onto Alex's dogs feet and tossed him out the window. It should have worked! And I wanted to fly to...
"Oh lord... Alice, things without wings can't fly." He says.
"But I gave him wings!!" I say in outrage.
"No, Alice. It must be born with wings." He tells me.
I nod again sulking. Luckily the dog survived without any major injuries. He was a good dog, almost as big as me. His name was Reginald. Horrible name, so I called him Regy. "Ok... I won't try to make Regy fly again..."
"Good. Now, do you want to play a game?" He asks. I smile and nod.
Dangit! Another memory attack. "Alice?" Alexander said.
I snapped back to reality just in time to dodge another swipe from Julie. I dashed around them and ran upstairs. I had my backpack on with all my stuff, I never left with out it. I ran and locked myself in the bathroom.
Time to fix my arm.
I told Alexander and Julie my stomach hutted so they left me alone. But, in the middle of the night, Julie unlocked the door and burst in. Crap. "What are-" she said.
She saw me laying on the floor with my arm only attached to my body by a few wires that I had fixed. She fainted. Oh well. I hope she gets pneumonia. By morning I had reattached my arm. If this ever happened again, I had the knowledge to fix it now! Julie was shivering on the floor behind me. Meh. I went to the room I was to sleep in and set myself to wake in one hour. I wonder why Calcifer didn't come?
