The three hunters pulled up into a bar that was situated at a crossroads, the bar itself was a dump small and surrounded by weeds.
"That's weird." Dean pointed out causing both of the other hunters to turn to him questioning what he meant. "You think someone planted these?" That was when both Danny and Sam noticed the flowers that were surrounding the crossroads, they made their way over to an area flowers were planted.
"In the middle of all these weeds?" Sam asked equally confused, the shorter hunter was equally confused as to why the flowers were here as well.
"Wait aren't these yarrow flowers they're used for hoodoo summoning rituals, right?" Dean turned to look at Danny realising that what the other was saying was true turning to look around at where they were.
"Huh so two people become overnight successes right around the time they were hanging out here at Lloyd's." Dean said to the group finally putting all the pieces together to what they were dealing with.
"Where there just happens to be a crossroads." Sam added.
"We need a shovel." Danny announced, within seconds they had made there way over to the impala grabbing a shovel so they could dig up what they believed was in the centre of the crossroads. After a few seconds of digging they found what they were looking for a metal box containing everything that someone would need to summon a demon.
"It wasn't a black dog, must of been hell hounds coming to collect on the deals." Danny told the other two as he reached forwards into the box Dean was holding digging through it till he found a picture of a man inside. He scanned it over before passing it over to Sam next to him who looked at it as well before showing Dean the photo.
"Lets go check him out." Sam told us as he threw the photo back into the metal box, the hunters knew they would be taking it with them to stop anyone stumbling across it.
The three hunters got back into the impala after their brief visit to Lloyd's luckily for us the bartender knew the man and pointed us in the right direction, the group pulled up in front of the building. It was a shabby looking place with rubbish littering the small section of dirt outside and a few smashed windows throughout the building. They all made their way inside of the building climbing up the stairs, the place wasn't that pretty on the inside either with the whole place having a dark and gloomy vibe to it. The small group made their way up the stairs as Danny looked around at the surroundings it reminded him of the cheap hotels they stayed in during their childhoods, those times were a mix of good and bad for all three of them. It brought a small smile to the shortest hunters face a warm feeling settling in the pit of his stomach as he remembered the better times of being kept safely away from the hunts in a hotel room where himself and the Winchesters would find ways to entertain themselves. A hand coming to rest on his shoulder jumped him out of reminiscing, turning to look up at whoever had interrupted him his eyes met the youngest Winchester.
"You okay?" Sam asked staring down at one of his oldest friends concern evident in his eyes, it was only then that the hunter in question realised that he had stopped on the stairs while the brothers went ahead. Danny gave the other a soft smile his eyes holding a tint of sadness.
"Yeah just got lost in thought I guess," Sam went to talk again however was cut off by the other hunter interrupting him this time. "Come on Dean will be wondering where we are." Danny spoke before quickly darting up the stairs following to where the eldest Winchester would be waiting, he didn't know what was wrong with him. It was like the Winchesters coming back into his life had dragged up all these unwanted memories that he really couldn't afford to get stuck on especially on a case like this, what if he made a mistake? The question ran through the others mind on a loop, but even now the answer was unclear to him was it really a mistake though to be back with the Winchesters? Maybe his father was right, it was a sentence the Danny had never thought would ever come into the realm of possibility his father had always told him that he was too emotional and that was what made him weak. The young hunter had never believed him, but now even he was beginning to believe him this was the second time that he had let old feelings get to him. Eventually, he managed to catch up to where Dean was crouched down inspecting a black powder that was lined outside of the door.
"Is that pepper?" Danny asked quietly once he was close enough to inspect the powder up close, the oldest hunter glanced up at the other giving him a shrug. The shorter hunter let out a sigh before reaching out to bang against the apartment door hoping that they weren't too late.
