Childhood Stranger

Crossroad Blues:Part 4

Sam knocked on the door the two hunters standing behind him waiting for the door to open after a few seconds by a calm looking man who looked at the group with curiosity. 

"Evan Hudson?" Sam asked making sure that they had indeed found the right person once the man confirmed that he was the one the hunters were looking for Dean instantly jumped in. 

"You ever been to a bar named Lloyd's would have been about ten years ago?" The older hunter asked causing the mans eyes to light up in a blind panic as he moved quickly to slam the door. The shorter hunter just watched slightly worried that they weren't going to get to the man in time to save him. "Come on we're not demons!" Dean shouted to Evan who the group could hear running away from the door even from outside. 

"What do we do now?" The shorter hunter asked softly causing the two hunters to turn to him, Dean instantly reacted stepping back a few steps before kicking the door harshly breaking the lock and instantly making it swing open. As soon as the door was open they made their way inside finding themselves in front of a double door, which Dean instantly tried to kick down again only to be stopped by Sam. The Winchester brothers shared a silent argument between themselves as the shortest hunter reached out opening the unlocked door himself very slowly stepping in. Looking around the room it seemed to be an office however there didn't seem to be any sign of the man in question. 

"Mr Hudson?" Danny called out calmly scanning over everything trying to find the man in question, who came out with his hands raised in defence. 

"Please please don't hurt me." Evan begged voice slightly shaky as his eyes switched between the three hunters trying to anticipate their move. 

"We're not going to hurt you," Danny said trying to stay calm and convince him to trust them, all the shorter hunter wanted him to do was make sure this man made it out alive. He had been hit hard by just knowing that they couldn't save three people already. It took them a while to try and convince Mr Hudson that they were actually trying to help him eventually leading to them finding out why he did what he did. 

"My wife." Evan told the group drily Danny smiled softly at the thought his find filtering back to the dream of having a family like he had thought of so many times before. However, he was broken out of it when he heard Dean laugh from behind causing him to turn.

"Getting the girl worth the trip to hell." As soon as the words left the older hunters lips Danny felt anger bubble up inside him, even though he knew Dean was right in a twisted way it felt wrong. 

"Dean." The shorter hunter spoke firmly glaring at the hunter in question, who seemed shocked by the sudden action smile instantly slipping off his face. 

"No he was right I made the deal no one twisted my arm." Evan told them slightly freaking out he went on to explain why he did what he did, the hunters listening in silence.

"We're going to find a way to get you out of this, Mr Hudson." Danny told him comfortingly before turning to the Winchesters gesturing them to follow him out of the room, the three made their way out into the hallway one last time. The shorter hunter could feel eyes on him and knew that it was Dean, but he just ignored him focusing on the task at hand his previous anger still simmering away even though he had calmed down. 

 "I've got a plan," Dean announced once they got out into the hall before taking out the bag of goofa dust. "Use this to keep the hell hounds away I'm going to go to the crossroads and summon the demons." Even though Danny was still annoyed at the hunter he was shocked by this plan knowing it was suicide. 

"S-summon the demon?" Sam asked not quite believing what he his brother was thinking. "Are you nuts?" 

"Maybe a little." The older hunter said nonchalantly as the other two just stared with wide eyes.
